Yeah I don’t know. I’d say it’s def a less expensive way to get into the business. I had never heard of Malbon. Buy something with no R&D or manufacturing costs and then mark it up 40%!

I'm a big fan of this. Being in my mid 40's fashion for me is more Linksoul than Malbon, but I grew up following skateboarding culture, not county clubs.

Whose pants did he borrow ?  Looks like my grandpa when he’d try to wear pants he had since 1950.  He had shrank 5 inches in  the waist and it took 4 extra holes in his belt to synch them up , AFTER he pullled them up  to his armpits.  Surely those aren’t tailored ?

Not getting out of golf apparel or footwear……Nike has just moved sales and distribution of Nike Golf to Mint Green whose parent company is Srixon / Cleveland. Some players will be moving on and Nike Sports Marketing will continue to look after some athletes. It’s safe to say though that many of the Srixon / Cleveland guys will at the least be wearing Nike footwear.

Perfect. Just compile a montage of all of Hideki’s one handed finishes and bad shot reactions that finish right by or in the hole in to a 30 sec commercial, close with a just do it and you’ll have the best Nike golf commerical since Tigers heyday

Malbon clothing and 'tailored' clothing are opposite ends of the spectrum. They take the most ill fitting cheap clothing from Adidas/Nike/etc put their logo on it and mark it up 40%. They want that hobo chic/thrift shop look. I guess that's part of the appeal?

Wait...what about Asics?  They are under the SRI umbrella and are advertised across all the websites, this doesn't make any sense.  Something else is going on here...

Ok, watched the video. If he came across as even a bit of a jerk, I 💯 completely missed it 🤷🏼‍♂️ Everyone’s entitled to their opinion. 

 

I looked at the stuff a bit and it’s essentially a ‘lifestyle brand’. Has some original stuff and some co-branded Nike, Adidas, FJ and Coca~Cola stuff. This co-branding approach has gained in popularity recently with trendy lifestyle brands. Hey, good for him for trying and more power to him if he can be successful. Pretty weak to hate on the guy IMO.

Yeah i thought Trottie was much more annoying. I have the impression he was intending to show up to get fit, not for a lesson, which made the live stream a little more uncomfortable. Sure everyone can use help with your swing, but you aren't going to make a huge consistent change in 15 min.

Same here.  I was all about skateboard culture growing up as well.  Malbon is not necessarily my thing either, but I just love the shake up in style especially on tour.

Well I can assure you that this is happening…..I was a Nike Elite Staff member until this all went down. I’ve been with them since 2018 and it appears as though that’s not going to continue going forward.

I'm with it. Some of the things just look a little baggy for JDay. Hard to see this when he was wearing very slim and fitted apparel with Nike.
