Not everyone loved joggers when they came out either.  Takes some confidence to wear something new, so gotta give JDay props.  That being said, I won't be purchasing those pants any time soon 😂

I echo what other have said. To each his own, but the fit looks terrible on him.

 

I'm not a UA fan, but Spieth's clothes always seem to fit to a tee.

Are joggers that much different than wearing plus four's?  I'm not saying I love em, but I think they have a place at the table.

 

Honestly, just give them a rule where they can wear shorts if A) temp is over 85 or B) they're in Hawaii

I’m with you. I just appreciate the guys that are willing to “rattle the cage” and wear something different/new. Started for me with Jesper P. I also find it amusing how upset a lot get about it! 😂

I don't think either look will age well, though the joggers & Day's weekend wear still look better than late 90s- early 2000s fare and better than quite a bit of the loud designs that were in during the 60s and 70s.

 

That said, the craziest thing to me is heavy baggy clothing. At least if it's lightweight you can move freely but it's a pain when you feel it with every move you make. There's also the annoyance of it on windy days. Just can't recall a single time where baggy would have been more comfortable on the course than something better fitted in a similar fabric.

Fashion trends are cyclical. Most all fashion trends come and go, and come back and go and…

It's not just an age thing with V Hov's shirts. He somehow pulls it off, can't exactly explain why. You could put anyone from Rory to Rickie to Åberg in them and many of those prints wouldn't fit them either. Hovland has the magic to make it work more times than not. 

 

Youth certainly can help the garish get by, though.
