I hit it very well and it did seem quite forgiving. I was surprised with the Evenflow shaft as well. $475 hero price is still a bit much for me, but I approve, it's very nice.

PXG has a full time fitting booth at Envision Golf (https://envisiongolf.com/) and were doing a special demo today from 3-5. I didn't show up until almost 4 and it seemed nobody else had shown up. I spent a good 30 minutes bashing drives with a couple different shafts. It's a cool setup. Homeboy said if I ever wanted to hit stuff, just call him up. He seemed pretty bored. 😛

I went there to test the fairways. When I walked up, he handed me the lefty driver, so I swung away. Never did try the fairways, or hear what the price was on them.

He was talking $750 retail and that just seems insane.

Yeah, the hero price is still $450 and that more than I've spent on a driver. 🤣

I went for a fitting yesterday comparing the Black Ops driver to my Gen 6 XF.  The Black Ops was easily 3-5mph faster ball speed.  As an old guy, that was a pleasant surprise.  We did end up with a 10.5* head to get the launch angle needed.  In the Gen 6 XF I was playing a 9* with comparable launch.

The Black Ops was longer, more efficient and lower spinning.  The unique thing I found out was that the store had inventory of the drivers so I brought one home with me.  I’ll let you know how well it works out.  But, it looks promising so far…

Please post updates. Driver and fairways look super. I could go for a new driver or play another season with the Paradym Triple D, but right now I’ve yet to solve the fairway wood spot. I like the low profile of the Black Ops.

Callaway Paradym Triple Diamond 10.5 w/Diamana TB 60S

I’m heading down to Orlando this week for the PGA Merchandise show. I’m hoping PXG will have representation there so I can see this thing in person and take a few swings with it on demo day.

With free shipping going on right now, I almost pulled the trigger and bought one yesterday.

Are there any places that you can have a fitting with PXG and the other major brands?

PXG only charges $25 and will send you the trackman data.  Worth going there and then a place that has multiple brands.  Might take a little more time but cheaper and less pressure than Club Champion.

PXG have a stall at the local Sim Bar place in town, that's where I did the demo. Dude said any time I wanted to hit stuff, just call him. He seemed bored. 🤣

Did a fitting Sunday morning with the Black Ops. Definitely not a fit for me as they couldn't any shaft / head combo to beat out my Gen 4 with the Autoflex. I DID NOT like the look of the glossy crown at all.

My current Driver - My swing speed averages 91 - 93 and ball speed was averaging 130 - 133. Spin rate was 2200 - 2350 and I hit up on the ball at 1.5*. Smash Factor was 1.43

Black Ops was very spinny for me with multiple shafts, weights and flexes. Best ball speed I got was 127 tops. Tried several of the Graphite Design, Tensei and Project X shafts.

Put the Black Ops head in my Autoflex and spin was 4500 - 5000, obviously that was a no go.

Looks like the G4 wins again. G5, G6 and now the Black Ops out of the way. But darn I want to buy a new driver.

OMG, I hate this site at times... 😂

This video is a prime example of why I am growing to dislike txg content more and more. Watch the shot counter. Now, tell me what went into pulling out so many shots?

You cannot have a valid product review that pulls out so many shots. To me, the more shots pulled, the worse the driver performs.

They do this a lot...so many pulled shots that make the drivers appear to perform better than they do.

Club Champion has to sell clubs, that's all there is to it.

Any more updates on BO driver?

I got mine today. Went out and hit it a few times before I left for work. Weather is 💩. Windy, 45 and soaking wet but still solid. Still gotta play with the weights some. The Gen 5 I’m playing with 2 tens and a 2.5. 5 grams heavier over all. Weather looks better all week starting tomorrow and after tonight I’m off 7 days straight. I’ll be able to give a better review after.

Enjoy it. Can’t wait to hear more. Getting interested in this driver. Had many versions of PXG drivers that did not live up. Hope this one has more glaring reviews. I’ll bite after read more. Thanks.

Granted I've only hit (and bought) the 0211 and hit the Gen4 (wasn't impressed). The Black Ops was really impressive. The price is a bit much, but I think it's totally worth the hero price.
