I’ve played almost every brand under the sun, but I’ve been stuck on the i210s for 2 seasons. Does anyone have any good suggestions for an upgrade from there? The 230s aren’t worth the lateral move and I’ve got my eye on some 0317cbs. I’m open any suggestion thanks in advance!!

I’ve hit most of the current CBs and keep coming back to my ZX7s but here is my short list. Haven’t hit the 0317 CBs though.

But take it from a couple serial switchers, Adam Scott and I would both recommend ZX7s

Pxg 0317CB beat out just about every club I’ve tried this year. I swap them between my zx7 Mkii. So many nice sets out there!

If you buy something new to scratch the itch, just make sure you keep your i210’s until you’re 1,000% sure the new irons are better.

 

I’ve learned from experience not to sell your old stuff too quick. I’ve had to do the walk of shame a few times to re-buy the same clubs…terrible feeling, Lol!! 🤦🏽‍♂️

I’ll be honest and say, when I sold my p760s not long ago, I had severe sellers remorse and thought I wouldn’t find anything to replace them. Until I bought a set of 0317 CB irons. They are absolutely perfect for me and couldn’t be happier. The forgiveness, feel and looks are a true winner. If you’re on the fence, go get a set of CB and I’m sure you will find they are top notch!

I was totally turned off by the Gen 5 PXG irons. Just hated the two color heads. I would consider them this year with the ability to get all black or all silver.

Buy a set of G410.  Alternate between the two Ping sets whenever you feel the need.

 

Or, build yourself a classic set.  20-30 year old clubs.  Can be blades, can be things like Eye2/ISI/845s, maybe even one of the assorted 90s vintage TaylorMade Burners.  Pick an era and go with it.  Gives you a feel for how golf was different before the advent of drivers the size of sanitation trucks.  (FWIW, I'm personally intrigued by 80s or 90s golf)

 

You could even take that to a hardcore level and get a few hickory clubs.  Would really give you an appreciation for how good those golfers were 100 years ago, to post those scores with that equipment.  Said with full credit to Peter Allis.

Go backwards. Start buying sets of vintage blades and put a new set into play every week.  Then reshaft them all, rinse and repeat.

FWIW, I have an oversize set of shovels with graphite shafts, a set of Ping Eye 2+, a set of Toski (Golfworks) T-54s I recently reshafted. A set of heads waiting for me to decide on shafts  All of which can be in rotation when the urge to buy the latest, greatest new shiny object hits. Boredom for me is waiting for epoxy to cure.
