on a more serious note there's 12 players who are within double bogey distance from the lead and this course extracted 22 dbl or worse scores in wind that wasnt at its strongest

I would say this place really highlights it. Given that most of these greens are plateaus if you don’t hit the proper shots, they’re off the other side of the green.

doak did a good job renovating the course ... think there could be some more knolls/bumpy areas in the rough, esp on the par fives ... scoring is low and they can't shoot 65 every day ...

Could roll off the back or either side it seemed, including back to you.

 

I couldn't believe how many shots guys were hitting that looked great until they weren't. 

 

Right now... shoot 3 under three days in a row and you're tied for the lead. That's almost US Open #'s.

It’s just the severity in the greens. At least half of them have these 4/5 yards of just peel offs that come into play for chip shots if they run away. I haven’t seen that from many other courses I’ve been on this season.

Watched this guy (Tosti) play yesterday.  Had never seen or heard of him before.

 

All I could think of is that I didn't like this guy. Something that very rarely comes to mind when watching.
