Since the others are standard X100, I’m going off the assumption that the photos got mixed up and the 120 is just in his 4 iron.

I just received my first set of irons with DG 120 X100 yesterday. In addition to being lighter (obviously), the 120 is a bit softer under the grip than the OG. Been an OG Dynamic Gold devotee forever, but initial impressions are the 120 suits me even better since I have a very smooth, droppy transition into the downswing. If you love wood shafts like Tensei 1K White/Orange/Black and want similar feel, this could well be your best answer.

 

For those with very smooth transitions and/or play their irons longer than standard, DG 120 is well worth giving a test drive. Early days, but it may have dethroned DG in my bag.

Interestingly you can see the differences in the build with the VF driver being longer with a lighter back weight. My guess is that with the 2w potentially in play there is an argument to play the longer/faster/less accurate driver for the couple holes when needed and 2w everywhere else.

Almost setting something up to max out and let fly and you’ve got the 2w as a fairway finder.

Reminds me of the setup with Phil and the bomber draw driver and short fade driver - though the 2 wood isn't quite a short driver but more versatile.

The 2 wood seems like it would set up pretty well off the tee at somewhere like Harbour Town. Might be a tool as and when required for JT but I can't see it sticking around in his bag full time.

I haven't been paying attention to the flight of mini drivers, but do these guys hit the fade or draw with them?

On paper it would be easier to draw with a spin window that sits closer to 3,000rpm and the shorter length would ostensibly lead to tighter dispersion on average. Cameron Young talked about it being a "draw" club for him in that recent Titleist WITB video, and there is a strong argument to be made for big hitters that basically never need a 3w as an approach club to "upgrade" it to a beefier 2w sort of setup for that purpose. 

It's also potentially helpful for natural drawers of the ball who, while not in need of a "draw" club off the tee, have an alternative in case the driver gets a little squirrely and they need something more stable.

Scheffler and Sam burns both have a grip trainer on an extra 6 iron they use to warmup with.
