White golf bag, yay no nay??

Looking and been wanting the Players 4 in white/blue. Give your pros and cons of the white bag!

I have a VLX in white that I use for short game practice and going to the range with a few clubs.  I’m surprised at how well it has held up.  I’d buy another white bag.

I feel if you have to ask you already know the answer 😂😂😂😂 There’s definitely a type that rocks the white golf bag that’s for sure.

I have owned both a white Ping Hoofer and a white Vessel VLS Lux. The Vessel is so easy to keep clean, the Ping was not. I just take a damp magic eraser and lightly get the dirt off and it looks new. Personally, I would not get a white bag unless it's a Vessel.

I've had a white Srixon bag for years. I fabric guarded the bag when I got it, and it has been fine, Does it get a little dirty? Yes. It has gotten a little dingy over time.

A guy I play with has had a white bag on his push cart for a couple years now. Honestly, it doesn't look any better or worse or get dirtier than those of us with darker colored bags. If you like the look, I wouldn't sweat it.

I have a white Linksmaster and a white Hoofer Lite. 

 

If you carry, it will get dirty from dirt, sweat, dust, etc. When it is wet, it will get some level of mud on it. 

 

That said, they do look great.

The trick with going with a white bag is getting one that's waterproof. I suppose you could spray it yourself, but waterproof bags are really so much easier to keep clean. I bought a white carry bag last season. Golf towns house brand, and got it on a deal of the day 50% off sale.

I'll not do a white bag again.  I went from white to full black. But I walk 3 days a week so the bags can get dirty very fast. Black for me!

I am between white and the navy. Kinda holding out for a white/navy combo. But not sure if that’s coming for the Vessel cart XV 2.0

Never had a white bag. My past two were blue and the other gray/red

Just ordered, not quite white, it’s the Titleist marble color. Will look fine, take care of your gear and it’ll look good for a while. I will hit it with All the Scotchguard when it gets here.

I have a sun mountain metro bag in white vinyl that I’ve used both pushing and riding . Very easy to just wipe off any dirt the bag picks up over the course of play. If keeping the bag clean looking is important and you want white pick a bag like mine or vessel that uses a material that can be cleaned pretty easily.

Personally, I love the look of white bags. That being said, I'm not sure I'd ever own one just because I don't want to deal with the upkeep. One year in college we got white bags, and after a season of use it looked 10 years old.

 

If you're good with regularly cleaning it then go for it! I'd suggest either a leather or "leatherette" type material instead of fabric since that would be much easier to keep clean.

Spray it with Scotchgard Sun and Water Shield every year and enjoy the white golf bag, works good for my two white bags.

I am sure you know the pros and cons of a white bag.  Maybe it's more about how comfortable you are having to replace it sooner than you'd have to replace another color.  White bags look great, but wouldn't want one as they collect dirt and smudges.

 

I am a Titleist guy, all except for their bags.  Quit buying them in 2022 because the legs, materials and workmanship were faulty, yet prices were climbing.  My carry bag is a gray customized Ping Hoofer, bought in 2022, used a lot, and still looks presentable.

I like white bags because they look lighter, even if they aren't actually lighter. When I approach my bag to pick it up, it just psychologically seems like it weighs less than darker colors. I walk 90% of my rounds so that psychological boost makes a difference especially in the hot and humid northeast in the summer. 

 

Don't sweat getting it dirty, dirty bags look good. It's the mark of a serious golfer to have an old, worn in carry bag. 

 

I had a white and navy Players 4 and loved it. But the handle broke during a flight because someone at the airline put luggage on it. The store replaced it with a black and red one. Funny enough, the water bottle holder on the white one was wide and stretchy enough to fit my 32oz Hydroflask, but the black one won't fit it at all.

I’ve got Vessels in White, Black and two in Navy. White Players 4 one is my sim bag. Looks great indoors and won’t get dirty. I’ve got two cart bags and a second Players 4 travel bag. 
 

I wish they did navy when I had gotten my first bag. It is sharp and a nice diff from black. My black bag is my main bag and it gets covered in dirt and dust. I will get gray next time I need a bag - my shoe bag is the pebbled gray and it is very nice.

Like them. Scotchguard helps a ton.  Also successfully pressure washed a ping to like new condition after a year of use….carefully

Like them.  I have the Whiteout Hoofer Lite from ~2022.  It's sweet.  Does it look a little grubby?  Yes.  Do people swoon over my white bag?  Also yes.

says the guy who lives in Minnesota, lol. White keeps you cooler vs. dark color. Don't know about white shirt with white shorts/pants. Never see that look really. It was the white belt that got the "white belt" golf stigma. 

 

white gets dirty easier on golf bag, I had a ping hoofer 4 under that was mostly white with blue over a decade ago, probably my favorite bag I've had. It did get dirty after a few years but by that time I was going to get a new bag. Most people complaining white bags get dirty buy a new bag ever year or two so it doesn't matter anyway.
