Nope.

Too draw biased and based off testing not a very good driver with higher swings speeds. I tested it a few times on a few different occasions and it just didn’t keep up with my TS2 or the M5, M6 and Epic flash. The shop near me is overstocked with Cortex drivers because they just can’t sell any. Results are just not there. I feel like the only way they’re selling these is solely based on shock factor.

Sounds like it would be a good driver for the vast majority of average golfers.

Yep. Same with the Exotics EXS.

Throw a Callaway logo on it and it’ll sell itself into back order

And they’ll probably sell well once RBG starts blowing them out for $129

Wilson got what they wanted out of it. They are sold out and not making any more of them. You cannot customer order it. it really does not matter to wilson if they sell off the selves at your local golf store, they have all been bought. We had 8 and sold one to a guy that didn't even try it. just walked in and bought it.

It's a mighty good looking head at address but I couldn't get the performance out of it. This was primarily due to having no shaft options to try other than the stock Atmos shafts. I'd love to pick up one and try some different shafts but Wilson's stupid adapter has a plastic ferrule that melts when you try and pull the tip off and you can't buy just the ferrule. I'm not buying new tips at $30 each either. The juice just isn't worth the squeeze.

I can't help but feel like the TV show surrounding this driver drove its value down... It makes it feel like an infomercial product to me, which is tough to take seriously, especially for $500. The driver itself isn't bad, but Wilson's marketing around it could use some help IMO. It's not touted for its performance but rather that it's the famous baby of the public design team that birthed it.

They definitely aren’t sold out. I’ve seen them for sale on a few websites like tgw and pgatourss. Accounts may not be able to order them anymore as you said they aren’t making anymore and only made 8000 units but they can still be had at retail

Probably means Wilson has sold them all at wholesale and doesn’t give a hoot about map. Could very well be the case. They look nice in the store but I feel pretty confident that I’ll never personally see one in play near me, unless as someone stated they start blowing them out on RBG.

That exactly what I mean. Yes, you can find them on store shelves, but Wilson does not have any in production and they don't have any in warehouses. They are all on store floors.

Wilson knew exactly what they were doing setting the price. The new D7 driver looks a beast but will be £150 less. They couldn't possibly have their adjustable driver the same as a glued head.

Just went on their website- definitely not sold out...

your missing the point. From a production point, they are completely sold out, all produced drivers, that will ever be produced have been allocated and they are not making any more. Effectively making it "sold out".

yes, from a store front perspective, there are probably still 4500 of the 5000 produced that are still available.

Not sure I totally buy that Wilson could care less that it’s not moving at all at retail. If retailers are stuck with inventory that won’t move, good luck selling next year’s DVD (or any woods for that matter)

I'm not entirely sure if DVD is meant to be a year over year type of thing. At the most I could see one more year but wouldn't be surprised if this was the last one. The whole point of it IMO was to raise the recognition profile of W/S as it pertains to woods and given that there is now probably 40 pages or so on this board alone spread out over various topics I think they've succeeded in that regard anyway. Not that they don't care about how the product performs - I'm sure they do.

Most OEMs have purchase protections for retailers though, don't they? Pga tour super store and edwin watts type places aren't going to stock stuff that won't sell unless they're incentivized. Don't OEMs incentivize retailers to order a bunch of product by having buy back on leftover stock when lines change?

I'd imagine that the large retailers have such clauses... maybe not for green grass (are there any green grass who stock Wilson?) or smaller mom and pops. Sure there's someone more informed who can comment.

I’m getting good performance from it. Put a helium shaft in it and it’s doing every bit as good as my f8+ I got fit for in the cobra connect experience.

It looks great, sounds and feels good, and I’m enjoying playing it.

Of course it won’t be for everyone but I do think it’d be a shame for many to just look past it because it says Wilson on it.

Forever Changing at this point.......
