Well foresight doesn't measure club head speed it actually estimates it based off a fixed smash. The ball speeds are correct though.

My handicap is on its way up if i'm being honest. Unless I can start scoring like I was at the end of last year it will soon be back in the (-) range.

I've been playing in total for 7 years, seriously ( and I mean obsessed) playing for about 3 or 4. .

Reading some of these distances....I need t get into some serious steroid program. Anyone wants to share them extra testosterone? On a good day, I will hit a 3 hybrid around 210-215 mark.

That seems like a solid number. Probably better than average?

I have a 21 degree hybrid I believe that is a 3 hybrid? It carries in the 225 range and gets out to 240 off the tee.

I've never been consistent with a 3 wood and I've found if I have 250+ yard approach its usually not a percentage play.

I like that I can hit a hybrid high/low left/right and anywhere from 205 to 240 depending on what I'm trying to do.

23* hybrid goes about 160-165 carry + roll. It's not very far compared to many here, but the key is to know how it gaps into the rest of the bag and pull it when appropriate. Last year I was pulling it often on a 170 yard par 3 and kind of lying to myself about how far it goes as good ones would end up on front of the green when pin is in the back and a little short when pin is in the front. I need to pull more club this season.

I have a G15 and a 816 H1.

17’ M1 hybrid with 19* of loft. AD DI 105X shaft, I can take it to 255, cut it to 240. 3W goes 280 on average. Just practice with your 3 wood more, it’s longer and has less loft so unless your swing is overly steep than it should go further. Could be a lot of different factors, but if your 3H goes that far, ur 3W SHOULD go farther, carry and roll.

Not to worry, you're on average to a little above average with most decent golfers.

These tales of 265 yard hybrids are not close to the norm. If you hit your 5 iron 185 and your 4 iron 195-200. Then a 215-220 yard hybrid is what you need to fit between your 230-235 yard 3 wood.

On a good day my d i c k is 12 inches but when I am tired it goes around 8 inches. Then again I see regular guys hitting it at 5 inches... WTF guys... seriously... If your d i c k is 12 inches, prove it with some pictures and numbers please. It seems like everyone is a p o r n star at Golfwrx....

This type of comment comes up a lot on distance related golfwrx threads...People blown away by numbers or totally shaking off the idea of that type of long hitter being out there.

What people need to realise is this is not a cross section of a typical group of golfers you would find at your Saturday Muni course. This is a group of guys dedicated enough to the game to create an account, talk about golf related topics, trade and sell equipment and follow the game very closely. I would assume the majority here are good players who likely hit it pretty well.

I know I am longer than most and I'm likely middle of the pack here. I hit my driver 281 on average according to game golf GPS tags tracking hundreds of rounds and when I travel with my wife or get paired up in tournaments or local events there are only a handful of guys hitting it out there past me. For perspective I know one other golfwrx member personally out of all the members and his average swing speed with a driver is 120+. He carries it past where my best pokes end up.

A lot of guys who post here are really good, really long or a combination of both.

I mean my other hobby is electronic football (like the boardgame with football action figures) and the forum I post at regarding that hobby is full of avid fans who have forgotten more than I will ever know or have spent so much money on their players it would make your head spin. If you go to a forum dedicated to one specific hobby I would expect to find some of the most avid fans and really good and knowledgeable players.

That is dead on point--- I maintain a 5 with both modern and vintage equipment. And at 62 years of age at sea level I hit a modern driver about on average 240 245 persimmon driver about 220 225. On the Op's question I just started experimenting with hybrids but have found 2 that I like that fit me. My older Adams A-12 OS at 23* I carry about 175 or so. An Older Adams Boxer 20* I just started hitting I carry about 190 or so. Now all my distances are at sea level. My hybrids fit in distance wise with my 16* Adams 4 wood I call it. I carry it around 210 215. But these are my honest distances on average. At my age any par 5 that the second shot is over 210 or so I lay up to my wedge distance. My wedge game is pretty decent

I have an Adams that I can hit as much as 240, but I can dial that back if I need to. It feels sweet. It has the wrong shaft for me though (too soft) and I'm too lazy to change it, so every once in a while it will stray way offline. I don't trust it so I mainly use it for shots from the rough and occasional tee shots. I'm going to search for a replacement next year. I think the hybrid can be a useful tool depending on the course. The rough around here looks like it is wide blade rye grass and it s a b*tch when it's wet.

I am gaming a 20 degree apex hybrid. Its 1.5 inches short of standard. I'm known for the consistent pull draw with the hybrids, but this one is manageable for me. Looks like an iron and is short like an iron. Will dabble more in driving irons, but for now the hybrid is my 210-215 club.

I have good distance gaps between my 4i, 3 hybrid, 3 wood, and then my driver. Very even. I'm currently going back and forth between my Ping G410 19* hybrid and a Titleist U500 3 iron (20*) - they go about the same distance.

In any event - assuming you're hitting your RBZ hybrid pretty straight with that distance, maybe there is something that is off with the 3 wood where you should be hitting it farther. Do you get good height with the 3 wood? Some people can get more distance out of a slightly more lofted FW or Hybrid if they're not hitting the 3 wood at an optimal trajectory...just a thought
