The event is now complete. She had a tough final round and finished out of the money. Still a very good showing for her.

Don't forget it's a course she's likely either mostly or totally unfamiliar with. Whereas--what?--90%, 95%, 99%? of scratches beat up on the same course over and over again.

Let's also note she finished 16 shots back of some no name mini tour guy. For the next time a thread pops up about how all of those no name mini tour guys are maybe just barely better than a scratch who has been crowned victorious in the local member guest three out of the last 10 years running.

I'll say this, a scratch at 6700 will get lapped by the cream of the crop lpga players. A Male scratch who carries it 270+ could hang with any lpga tour player at 7300+. For a large, large majority of lpga players, 7300 is really, really long.

Nordqvist played this tournament at 7200 yards. A male scratch who hits it 300 could not hang with her. A male scratch on a very good day, according to rating on that course, would shoot a 75.

No a Scratch is not hanging with the LPGA gals at 7300+ either. The gals are way better putters and have a much better short game. They'll be in the fairway much and even if they can't hit a long par 4 in two they'll still get up and down regularly. Pahleese. Oh here we go again, a need to compensate for length. LMAO. There was a Golf Digest article back in the day. The article subject was about how an LPGA gal would do from the men's tees. It was with Christie Kerr who played from the tips 7000 yards plus. She shot even par. Come on get off the male ego high horse.

Exactly. She shot 76 on the last day and many posts seem to think it is an indication the 4 could hang with her. Her bad round was better than his really good round.

It wasn't even a scratch that guys were saying could be an LPGAer, it was a 4 handicapper. Probably that mythical Wrx 4 that hits it 300+, carves his irons left and right at will but can't putt.

Anna N. is a "mid level" LPGA player now and she was able to shoot -8 from the big boys tees. -5 overall for 3 rounds. Good luck Mr. Career 4 handi or scratch handi at your local muni who thinks they got game to compete with world class female athletes. LOL.

You see it's just because he/she doesn't get to putt on perfect greens and play off perfect fairways like pros do. Easily lands in 2 divots a round and rolls over no less than 5 ball marks per round.

Actually, the debate in the golfwrx thread came from a Stina Sternberg quote that a 4 handicap male would get waxed (so badly beaten) by a bottom of the barrel LPGA player (non exempt of the 152 players). So really none of those represented here -- Anna N and other LPGAers talked about here are top to upper mid level and these guys are scratch or better, but still a good look at how good the ladies can play.

She was trying to stay sharp for competition. The event was completed before the Players started. It was played Monday 3/9-Wednesday 3/11.

I stand by my comment that a Male scratch who carries 270+ will hang with a run of the mill lpga tour player at 7200+.

Look at Anna's results at Boca Rio, a course that played 6700 (75-69-74-70). Anna has the ability to go low (sub 68) but a scratch will struggle to do that.

You only have to get to the 64th spot on the lpga before scoring avg gets above 72...

A 4 handicap is getting waxed by every lpga your player who kept their card...whether at 6700 or 7200+. A 4 has no chance.
