Another la golf trono 65tx, with a hzrdus black spliced in there for an extension. feels like I’m putting an extended swing arm on a ducati. 48 inch driver build... I’ll post gcquad when it’s built, I know I promised it in the last post. 45.75 trono carrying 320, so 48=Whiff?

Did my own little compare and contrast on some MP20's.  MMC's w/ x100s, and a combo set of MP20 HMB, MMC, and MB's.  Went with the combo set due to the numbers I got with the C Taper shafts, but deep down, I think I like the MMC's all the way through more.  Stoked with each purchase and sad to see the MMC's go soon 😞

Callaway Apex MB 18.

Ended up needing new wedges. Got a couple Haywoodgolf raw 55 and 59. Can’t wait to try them out.

Recently acquired a putter I have been after for sometime and it's one which I intend to be in the bag for a long time.

I was fortunate to pick up this Byron Morgan DH89 from the original owner, it's a raw carbon head with a sight dot for alignment, Pingman grip, 350g headweight, 70 lie, standard loft, 34.75".  Pictures below:

Cleveland Huntington Beach 11c soft. Nice milling-seems to get the ball rolling quicker, with no skidding.

Sold them just because the shafts weren't optimal for my ball flight.  Went with the combo set that had the c taper 130x over the MMC's with DG x-100's.

How are they different? I have the origional so im curious.

I don't think I have any old NSPRO 950 shafts to show alongside, but the stepping it very different. On the new versions, the stepping goes closer to the hosel. For example, on my Fli-Hi #4, the last step is about 23.5cm from the hosel, which I think is different from the old version. In the shop, I compared the old and new alongside, and the new had a somewhat different step pattern , including two extra steps towards the tip. Both shafts were 950 S-flex.

Actually, scratch what I wrote a couple of hours ago. I just went to the local golf shop where I compared the new and old, and the stepping patterns appear identical, and I compared several different shafts. The steps on the new version appear more defined, but that's about it. It's hard to make out the steps in the middle of the shaft because the new shaft graphics cover most of it.

Now, my fli-hi #4 DOES have different stepping from a regular 4i with the old NSPRO 950S, so I'm wondering if it was tipped or something. That *might* explain why I get a low ball flight from it.

By way of an apology, here's a chart from the Japanese website comparing the old and new. The vertical axis is rigidity (flex), going from "low" up to "high", and the horizontal axis shows the shaft from the tip (lefthand side) to the butt (righthand side), so the new version is a little more rigid from the middle towards the tip, but has a softer butt.

And the possibilities for innuendo there are mind-boggling...

Seems like it launches higher but ends up a tad flatter overall? My ns 950 seem to be pretty decently low for a 95 gram shaft or at least i havent balloned anything in alot of shots with them. I also have kbs $ shaft in stiff 120 and they seem only a touch lower then the ns950.

That might be right. They say it produces a higher ball flight, but that compared to the "common trajectory of the average golfer", not the old NSPRO 950.

I took screenshots of the new and the old specs, and the new does have a thinner wall in the butt, slightly less torque, and a different balance point percentage, but I have no idea what that actually means.
