Interesting. With these and the toe sweep wedges, Nike seems to be injecting some innovation into classic wedge and iron designs that have traditionally been stagnant. I'm definitely interested. Love my 714mbs, but these will definitely get a test drive when they come out. Nike has always gotten their blade designs right - shape, sole, feel - have always been excellent. I'm curious how these compare, and am interested to see how many of the Nike blade players switch (and when).

Oh, and Nike, please release the Rory proto pocket cavity 2 iron to match this set.

Wait, so Noh's are a "solid" design, as seen here:

But the ones Nike Tweeted of Rory's 2-iron have some sort of pocket:

I'm guessing only one of these will make it to retail, and would probably put money on the ones with the pocket. Unless that was specific to the 2-irons only.

Here was another angle from the other thread:

Either way, pretty exciting design here.

Rory's and all those other 2irons where I believe made to be like the other OEM's driving irons..... NO? And most of all these other OEM's driving irons were Cast as opposed to Nike's forged so to just make a standard 2 iron Nike has already done that so I believe this was to make it more playable if that's really possible with a 2iron...lol

That's a good catch, maybe this is Nike's new iron lineup and they will have blades (the ones Noh's testing) and pocket cavities like the one's Rory used and they will replace the VR Pro blades and VR Pro Combos. Or like you said, maybe only the 2-iron has the pocket. I think that's less likely though, if you're going to have a pocket like that, you might as well offer it in at least the 3-5, maybe 6 iron as well.

I was excited to see these but now that I have I'm disappointed, only because I don't have the game for them and was hoping they would be between the Covert Forged and Pro Combos. Oh well. I'll just have to practice more haha

Couldn't there be a blade, cavity, and pocket cavity just like the original VR Pro Combos?

It's been mentioned as MM = Multi Material, but with the blades pictured here I'm wondering where the multi material is exactly...lol

Unless of course the part where say behind the big swoosh and the mmproto stamp could have some type of advanced material injected between two forged pieces?

I agree! I'm pretty sure the 2iron was meant to be more of a utility iron than a blade. I'd love to see a split-cavity type set but am doubtful seeing that their last set of irons had the all split-cavity option and they're not that old.

Duh. Good point. Didn't even occur to me. Combo set(s) or the ability to mix n match like the 2014 TM would be awesome.

I think we could see both. The blades are due for an upgrade and updating the pro combos at the same time to keep consistent marketing would make sense. The biggest mistake I think nike made last time was not releasing a full cavity back set and only having the combo and blade options. The pocket cavity irons didn't seem to fit a lot of people. I could the see them having a full blade and player cb option which pretty much matches every other OEM in the market.

Agree. And the Mod putter series. I don't play them but just the fact that they're are making them, I respect that.

Guessing the pocket 2 is just for the blade set. Maybe well see this cavity design in the '16 pro combos.

Someone on here mentioned earlier Nike was really re-inventing the blade for '15, this seems to be it.

Glad to see the MMProtos likely coming to retail with a new blade due next year. The badge less look is solid.
