Bladehunter, do you have a photo of your kyoei blanks?

Sure. I'll post in just w few .. Why ? You spot Them? ( I hope I hope )

I think I did. I think I found them at a lights out price. I just want to make sure they are the right chassis. Kyoei makes 2 types. Only 1 of them interests me. The other one is for everyone else in this thread i.e. razor thin everywhere :swoon:

Alright blades realm. Anyone know who makes these? Bespoke Japanese as a hint :nyam:

Consensus? Gaudy or Cool?

...

Gaudy as all get out.

I picture the owner wearing alligator skin golf shoes and belt.

New PXG's. You see each individual alligator square creates the most balanced blade in the industry. It also enhances feel. Cost is only 249.00 per club.

Isn't that a price cut?

Ribbed, for your pleasure!

In other news, my final Bandon trip pics are in...

This is me driving on Bandon Trails. A very elevated par 4 down to a nasty green that is basically a turtle's back surrounded by trouble on all sides. I made par. Went 48-43 for the day, from the tips.

This is the famous #16 on Bandon Dunes from the green tees. I cleared the right most upper ledge and had only 60 yards into the green. The scary part about the approach on this shot is that there is nothing but ocean behind the green. It is like an infinity pool but with a green instead. A very intimidating shot. I hit my lob wedge to within 15' and was happy with par. I finished 45-42 playing from the green tees. I will take that considering the 15-25 mph wind all day (50 F temps) and the fact that it is Bandon.

This is the final and #13 hole at Bandon Preserve. As per tradition for the final hole, I am putting from the tee. You can see the ball just leaving the (back) tee box and it has to go downhill about 80 yards to the pin. I put it to within 15' and made par. Overall I had 6 pars, 6 bogeys, and a nasty quad. All day long it was 15-25 mph winds.

Overall it was yet another wonderful Bandon trip. My third. For you blade brethren that may have thoughts of going, I can only advise that you don't hesitate if given the opportunity. As far as I am concerned it is golf heaven on earth. It is a humbling experience, too. I respect the golfer that plays as well there as anywhere else because it is a beautiful and unique challenge that is not your everyday golf. And lastly, if you go, definitely...wait for it...bring your blades.

I did and they are being built right now. I pick them up on Thursday (Modus 120's; tried Steelfibers, Project X's, KBS C-Taper Lite's and Tour V's and DG Pro's).

Anything I can answer for you or you can PM me.

I make my annual pilgrimage on March 21st. Trails is my favorite course that I've played and I can't believe how many people overlook it because of no ocean views. At the same time I love Old Mac too because it is just so different than what we get to play here in the US.

Glad you had a great trip.

mallrat, Bandon Trails is my favorite course of all time. If I had to pick an everyday course that would be it. I wish it were truly walkable is my only complaint. It epitomizes all of Oregon golf in one course.

But seriously any course out there is a dream to play. And yeah Old Mac is a hoot. A short game maestro's wet dream.

Those are zodias bro. Their symbol is at the upper toe. Where did you find them? And you knew damn striaght I think they are COOL. I have listed after their roddio set for years now. They are super expensive and only reciew from someone that had zodias in JDM section here was they were "not good". I just find that hard to believe as they are heavily sought after over their and lowest I have seen a set of ones I like go for is like $1800. I must say, the alligator is pretty dope. I got an alligator leather grip and headcover on a tad moore handmade putter that would compliment that nicely.

I went and putted today speaking of. Nothing, no iron set, is cooler than staring at my closet and deciding what flatsticks I want to take when I hit the practice green. I went with the masda and lajosi today.

Edit-

Google "roddio blades" and you will see them. The toe is horrific though to me. Wonder if crocs are the same?

So the other day I played 27 on my simulator. First "golf" I have played in a long time. 2 things, perfect lie on a mat regardless where your drive goes means lots more girs LOL, and I think I learned something about my driver.

The gc2 is accurate. I had drives from 252-297. My swing really comes down to missing the center of the driver, a lot. I am sure the moves and speed are all within reason to the same and distance is how it comes off based on where on face I hit it. Not sure how to work on hitting driver dead on but that is what I need to do to consistantly get similar distances.

Yeah Biggy I figured you'd know who they were. I am also fond of the Roddio blades as well. I know Zodia did a set as well as Miura. I'm more fond of the Zodias, just because of the sharp toe.

Left is Zodia, Right is Miura

Miura has some smooth lines though.

I also had no idea that Sonartec made blades.

Also found these Jean Baptiste blades to be pretty unique. But again, they skim on the gaudy look

Nice....I'm envious. I've been on the shelf for over a month. Cannot wait to play again....would be pleased if it were on a GC2!!!

The JDM world is a place that I should never investigate in-depth. I have a feeling there is a 'rabbit hole' there that I would never emerge from.
