Can anyone comment on any difference in ball flight from the previous models? Any higher or lower? I really am liking the blades but may end up just saving some money and getting the previous model if not much difference in performance.

FWIW, I demoed the 765 and 965 (both with DG Tour S300) and the 965s launched much higher than the 765 (which was nice and piercing). I never hit Srixon irons before this year's offering but I must comment that even though the 965s launched very high, the distance was still comparable to the 765s (which was great). I did notice that strikes close to the toe of the 765 didn't seem to lose much distance. That was a huge plus for me.

I hit the 765 and 745 for a couple hours on the range. I really can't tell a difference visually in ball flight. And honestly I can't tell which version I was hitting. I am going to get a set of these once I decide on the shaft. The main difference between the 5 7 and 9 series is spin. I could play a full set of the 9, but they spin the most. For me, I don't need spin, so I will go with the 7 series. However, the 5 series has the ability for more distance, so I am going to play a 4, maybe 5 iron as well in the 5 series. It's not about forgiveness for me, it's about spin, distance, and gapping....

I have now tested the 765s on an outdoor range in chilly[for me ]weather around 60 with a 15-20 mph wind. The only club the range had was the Modus 120 stiff. WOW. Maybe the best feeling iron I've ever hit,,and I played MP 32s for 4 years and now 2013 X Forged for 4 years. I ordered these yesterday 5-gap with Modus 105 stiff. My ss has slowed so maybe the regular are better??? It's hard to tell because the Modus shaft feels almost like graphite. So,,,,,,,my question since I was hitting the Modus 120 stiff so good will the Modus 105 Regular give me a higher launch, spin??? I need to change my order by Monday morning.

One other question. Does anyone know if the Modus 105s are ascending weight or constant weight?

Got my 965s. Previously played the 945s. Initial feedback is the 945 are definitely better for diggers. The wider sole is better suited for diggers. The 965 long irons are more forgiving though.

Sweet staff bag, Ivan!

You just need to get some Srixon headcovers to mask your Cally woods, like most of their staff players do. :P

Hit the 765's for the first time today. I looked at my GF and said "there is an excellent chance these will be in my bag next year"

Do you notice any other performance differences in 945 vs 965. I'm planning on grabbing the 945's, I'm not a digger or picker, more in the middle. I do prefer the mass being more towards the middle/heel side of the blade like the 945. Let me know! Awesome bag you have

Thanks! The bag was a gift from my wife. I prefer using stand bag, which I was using before she gave me this bag, but I just have to use as it was a gift :) I think I will keep the original headcovers :)

With just a single round and range session with them, I can say the 965 long irons are more forgiving over the 945. As for the mass behind, I could not conclude yet which is better (945 or 965). Aesthetically, they look different. The 945 are shorter (heel to toe) and noticeably have wider sole. Initial impressions on launch is the 945 launches higher but this could be due to the shafts (Modus 130) while the 965 have modus 125. Will send more feedback as I play with them more.

Thank you for quick response! Yes that definitely could be shaft related. 130 vs 125 are two different beasts. I'm torn between the two models, but I'm leaning towards 945's...

765's sounding tasty. My old faithful is PX 6.0 but tempted by Modus 120X and PX LZ 6.5...

Is anybody playing the 765 AW? I'd love to hear some thoughts on it.

+1

Only seen one photo of it on the @srixongolf Twitter...

+2 Can anyone give feedback on the 765 AW? I'm thinking of adding it to my 745 set since it's easier to get than the 745 AW. Specifically would like to hear the gapping you are seeing from the PW-AW. I know it is 51 degrees, but often times you see "set" gap wedges travel further than a similarly lofted vokey/cleveland bladed wedge.

Mine was ordered last week. I should have it next week sometime. I'll take some pics with it next to the pw and report back when I get it out on the course.

Spent some time on the range today working with the 8, 9 and PW 965 irons. I loved my 945s but there's something about the 965s that are just fantastic. Feel is really comparable but I feel like mishits are getting a bit more distance out of them. I had a few today with the 9-iron (that I can clearly recall) and I was right on line and it seemed like I hardly lost any significant distance. Also loving the tight dispersion I'm getting from the KBS Tour-V shafts, as well.

2nd round in with the 965. Feel is the same with the 945 with slight edge over forgiveness with the 965.

Very classic looking irons and just stunning in my opinion. I've had the Z965s for a bit now and I haven't felt more comfortable with a set of irons for a while now. Love them!
