I can imagine it's pretty frustrating as a lefty.

You do sound like a blade guy, and we will have our San Diego available in left handed.

I must admit, the Memphis is a rather small mallet, and very clean to my eye. And the Indy, for a really high moi mallet is also not that large.

Understand however, that they might not be what you're looking for.

Best,

Sean

I haven't ordered anything yet. Honestly, I am holding off until the ATL gets released and I can throw a flow neck on that bad boy.

Is this a U.S only website or will the garage ship internationally?

These will only ship within the US.

Very disappointing.

I wish there was something I could do here, but hands are tied right now. Expanding this out to INTL is on the horizon and hopefully won't be too long (especially CA).

Hopefully. And some more lefhanded options would be nice too.

The site doesn't work for me. Nothing shows up on my PC except a blank white screen and a pulldown menu in the upper right corner, and it crashes on my ipad when I try to scroll through the head choices.

???

Is it just me?

Not surprised. Doesn't crash on me but it's basically impossible to use on my iPhone.

Still baffles me when a company with resources allows a site to launch with apparently little to no concern for functionality across various platforms

Look at this ridiculous screen grab

Name one besides Amazon and eBay.

Launching a mobile friendly ecommerce site is hard business... even in 2017.

Then how do so many companies do it on a regular basis.

Granted it's not a cakewalk but it's not like Callaway/Odyssey doesn't have any experience launching websites with custom options like udesign etc

How many companies CEO, etc will take the time to respond to people about this or that?

They know/knew there would be bugs. It happens on any big launch. They get them fix and hopefully improve on the interface as well as the different options to clubs.

We are all the very top % of golfers that care, so let's show that by giving constructive criticism and solutions.

I have to say that the launch of this Toulon "garage" website has been a failure. They hyped this "garage" as a place to design a custom putter, yet the custom options are fairly minimal, the prices are high for what is being offered and the website constantly crashes.

This is 2017, the technical flaws with this "garage" website are definitely amateur hour. When you set out to launch a website like this you need to have most of your bases covered. A company the size of Callaway, with the resources they have, should not launch a website to the public with this amount of flaws.

Using an iPhone, 3 days post website launch, I am still not able to order a putter due to a poor website. If I was the Toulon/Callaway ownership I'd be po'd.

Ummmm just follow QLB or W3 Business Advisors. Plenty of them for sale with nowhere near these issues at launch.

There's literally thousands of websites that have zero issues launching mobile friendly websites on a constant basis.

Plus there's always going the app route for mobile friendly.

I love the putters and I really like the options available (other than no head weights lower than 350 which will never work for me since I struggle with anything above 340) but the site itself is seriously a mess.

got to admit -- i tried. really, really tried. first i used my phone --- the website not only took forever to load, but half the options were covered by the green outline buttons. got so frustrated after 10 minutes i went to the ipad. took FOREVER to load (even on fast bandwith internet) and when it did, it was shotty at best, i'd choose right hand option and it would seemingly just sit there for 4-5 minutes or so. so, after being frustrated further, i said, "ok well, clearly this will work better on the computer" -- i was half-right. computer worked, yet, the options for a 'custom' putter weren't really that much, specifically different necks or stamping options (not even talking about the stamping characters or symbols, just, functionality of seeing it on the putter).

over it. sorry long island, not buying you.

As regards the different neck options I do wonder if perhaps the manufacturer know better than us what necks will work with what heads? We may think we want a certain neck with a certain head but perhaps when used it is unstable. So they could let you order it and then you would shortly be trashing the product as unstable and worthless as a tool.

Just a thought.......

Wow this thread has turned into a bunch of whining and complaining. Constructive criticism is one thing acting like a two year old is another. Be patient. It gets old hearing again and again "I want what I want and I want it now"

We are not now that strength which in old days

Not sure yet with this one. I love the idea and the putters themselves when I tried them. Just not wowed by the custom options and execution so far. Biggest gripe of mine has to be the $50 for custom paintfill. I mean, I get it should be a charge for labor but $50?? The hosels are ok but would like to see a few more different options for the different headshapes like a flow neck for the Columbus and Memphis. None of these are keeping me from ordering one, it's just now the funds and the need for a new putter. I will be keeping an eye on this space though.

That's the ole Scotty Cameron idea... If I wanted my putters to be this or that than I would make them that way.

I can see it both ways.

If it's a custom shop then I expect to be able customize to what I want. -- Obviously they are just starting this process so limitations should be expected.

Bugs happen on new websites/design. The website has a lot of animations, etc. so patience should be warranted. We are a : I want it now society but let's give them some time.

Still think the paint fill is way too much... you don't make money giving away stuff but finding the right price goes a long way.

I am confused by all the problems and wonder if it is regional or what have you. I just built 2 putters to conclusion, and I will say the Shaft option is blank right now, but I did both builds in under 6 minutes each on a wi-fi enabled desktop running at 6mb speed internet....just sayin. I expect more options in the future for sure, but to be able to build it exactly like someone wants it with UNLIMITED options is not going to happen with a main stream product producer...NO ONE will put themselves in that situation...it makes no sense. Those who want that will have to go boutique method with small one man type shops and pay for it that way....I am just being realistic about my expectations here. Perfection doesn't exist.

I agree with those who say the $50 paintfill fee is absurd especially when i can do it myself in 10 minutes for about $ .50. I think the options they are starting with are pretty darn good and in time will add more and more like any company. Website problems with that much 3D are to be expected and will be not be going anywhere. Give them time and a little patience.

Request - Add full face milling. Love the Latrobe look but want that face on a San diego or Long Island ;)

All, love the feedback and the passion!

As for some of the technical issues with the site, we are still making enhancements and know there are performance gains that can be made across various browsers/OS/devices. Very rarely do application launches go off without any bugs, but it's my job to do everything we can to be 100% dialed in.

We are also still finalizing the more mobile friendly version which should be rolling out very soon. Things get very tricky with 3D and this is not your typical mobile ecommerce experience.

I apologize for any frustrations you may have experienced, but we're committed to creating the best digital experiences for golfers and know that we're on it.

Agree with Leif. I just placed my order and had no issues other than the shaft option being blank. I added a comment upon checkout and received an email from Callaway saying they received my order and it will have a black shaft. While obviously still some issues to work out, overall it worked pretty well. Hopefully we can get a welded neck option for the Austin!

If someone is buying a $700 putter they can afford $50 in paint fill. The issue people have is the 1000% markup on testers paint. Cameron is much worse but that brand is well established and has an army of loyal followers that pay $5k for circle T putters. Toulon will be a successful line for Odyssey and i'm sure at some point i'll grab one. I look forward to seeing what they add over the next year in terms of customization and models.

Last time I checked Scotty charges $72 for paint fill unless you order enough other work that is not cheap.

On the innovation side, this is a great sign to see them experiment. I know there are issues, and hopefully they work them out before rolling out the custom odyssey shop.

It will also be interesting to see if TP Mills takes a similar approach, or if it is going to be a top-tier concierge type of service.
