I like watching interesting swings more than anything, and Rahm has a swing that interest me at the moment. It's like a slap swing.

 

About the attitude, after following Lexi Thompson and Cristie Kerr for a few holes in person where I heard so much complaining that it made me just cringe, any other golfer's attitude seems tolerable.

as usual it will have to be an English guy, so in no particular order : Tommy Fleetwood, Paul Casey, Justin Rose, Andy Sullivan, Lee Westwood will all get a small bet this week.

 

I do think Tommy Fleetwood is a good bet for this one.

 

I like Fleetwood too but noticed he's very expensive on DraftKings. Moreso than guys like Stenson. I don't imagine you can get good betting odds at all on Fleetwood. If you like him still take him but risk/reward not there for him this week.

Please don't tell me such things about Lexi...... I agree with Rahm and his swing. Very interesting swing and as I said, talented in all aspect of the game it seems.

Been today Course is magnificent but we saw very little on course play. A huge number of big names nowhere to be seen on the links itself. Saw Rory spraying it, Rahm, Westwood and virtually no other top players on the course itself. Plenty people beating range balls...Koepka was nuking it, so was Grillo but anyone coming to see the big names hitting shots on the course was badly let down. I won't be at Carnoustie or Portrush or Sandwich so next Open will be St Andrews 2021...a long way off.

If you look at the winners of The Open latest couple of year you cannot say that an Open win is a formula to subsequently win tournaments on major tours. Ok Rory but otherwise...

Scotty, has a really solid record at The Open. The obvious example is Lytham but at some stage he had the lead or was tied for the lead at Muirfield in 2013 and St Andrews in 2015, how he hasn't won one really bugs me.

Tommy Fleetwood, Adam Scott and Rickie are my picks. Fleetwood is playing great and doesn't he live near the course? Adam Scott usually plays well at The Open. Rickie has put together 3 goods rounds in the first 2 majors, I'd like to see him put together 4 this week and win

The most interesting thing about Royal Birkdale to me is that in four consecutive British Opens it went from a par of 73 to 72 to 71 to 70.

Played Royal Birkdale last August, I found it to be less appealing and charming compared to the Scottish courses but it is a heck of a championship course. If it is half as compelling as Troon it will be a great show!

From what he said in his PC, he doesn't know the course all that well. Just snuck on it a few times when he was a youngster and hasn't played it since.

 

I don't care how cool he tries to play it off, there's real pressure there as a local favorite who will be getting some of the biggest galleries.

 

I will not be using him in any of my fantasy leagues.
