I've never been a big fan of DJ, but he earned a ton of respect from me today for not bitchin' and moanin' about the course. I'm rooting for him tomorrow.

DJ showed the heart of a champion today. I think he wins tomorrow.

USGA will overcorrect and make the course too soft. A host of guys could win it tomorrow.

They cant get it "too soft". It's already too far gone for that.

Oh they could . Mud balls on the green if you use enough water. Cause they sure don’t have any grass left.

Lol touche. Good point.

Dear Mike Davis:

They're called "greens." They're not called "browns."

No player ever had a plan for hitting the 18th brown.

Nobody was ever assigned to mow the browns, or measure the speed of the browns.

Anybody familiar with a Crayola 12-pack can identify what your problem is. Everybody at the USGA is color blind.

Sincerely,

Golf Fans.

I hear Mike Davis will be wearing a clown costume when he hands over the trophy to the the player who wins at +12.

One thing is for sure--tomorrow is going to be a great day to watch golf! Anyone from 10 over (or more) to the current leaders have a chance to win. It will be a free-for-all for six hours and I'm not going to miss a minute. I can't wait.

I honestly think the course is gonna be a mess. They're gonna try hard and soften it, but all it will lead to is crappy, inconsistent greens. And if grass is already dead or non existent now, it won't be there tomorrow.

They all play the same greens, so no problemo

Honestly I'm going to look at it a little differently if Finau or Berger go on to win. They played under completely different conditions and if the course had been kept in a fairly consistent conditions for the later groups, they would not be near the lead.

You can say the same thing about the Thursday afternoon groups

I hate this argument. The "they all have to play it" does not excuse crappy course managment by a tournament grounds crew.

The greens this afternoon were nothing like what Finau had in the morning. Nothing.

Davis and his governance are AMs, not pros, and they need to let the actual course greenskeepers set the placements, not a ''committee'' of lawyers, politicians, arse kissers and other assorted thieves heading the USGA. they are not picking out a new USGA logo they are addressing the setup of the National Championship.

Watching this tournament reminds me more and more of a frat house party. Supposedly this iconic, historically laden venue has turned the keys over to a bunch of misbegotten, ill-behaved morons, whose only claim to fame will be a further dilution of the gene pool.

You talkin 'bout the USGA or the "patrons"??
