I received my second shaft yesterday. I'm very happy with Srixon's customer service getting a replacement out to me so quickly. Prep and fit on this one looks as I would expect. The original shaft ferrule actually started creeping up, so it looked even worse, I'm glad I got it all sorted out. Thanks Srixon!

Finally got some numbers with this thing and it’s very good.

 

Compared to similar rogue set up with tensei orange.. picked up 2-5 mph ball speed from 168 range up to plus 170. If I had to be honest this was due to quality of strike. I struck the Z785 more consistently. Also... it brought my ball flight down to a better range, decreasing my descent angle and let to more distance. So for me.. it was more consistent, and as a result longer.. with better characteristics for my swing. More penetrating launch and descent. Spin 1900-2400.. carries 300 plus. 2500 spin on cut balls.

I haven't checked my order on mine with the Tensei Blue TX, I ordered through Edwin Watts in the middle of last week. They initially said it would be here by about today. I will go in and see if they can give me an update.

Mine was originally set to ship on 9/19. Then its 9/21. I was told to check back tomorrow 9/22. I am playing 9/29 and 10/6. Hope I get the stick before then.

Wonder if Srixon bit off more than they could chew by offering no up charge custom shafts and free returns. I wouldn't be surprised if some of us didn't see clubs for another few weeks.

What sucks is Im in the midwest. I really do not want to test thing at the end of October. The free returns thing is going to be out the window because by the time I get it, it will probably be cold and I prefer to do outdoor testing when I dont have 4 layers of clothing on. May just have to rely on the launch monitor

Mine came in today woh po 70tx. This club is pretty forgiving and when I got used to the club at the range it was a beast and had a good mix of spring yet muted sound.

Crazy that Srixon wasn’t prepared for the influx of Tensei Pro Orange orders. Offering that shaft at no upcharge is an insane deal, coupled with 60 day guarantee. There is literally nothing to lose in this scenario.

Did folks order the same lofts? I think last week, the 9.5* was in stock but the 10.5* was considered backordered. It might be a combo of shortage of shafts and production of the driver heads.

TPO has been removed from the custom list. Also upcharges are back to $140 for everything other than hzrdus. Still waiting on my order.

I ordered 9.5 and 10.5 because I want sure how the face would sit. Looks like maybe both shipped?? Although status now says, "partially shipped" so that makes me think only one shipped.

I was able to get out for a quick 9 and gave my m4 a run against the 785. I'm enamored with the EF HC Blue. It fits my swing really well. When I'm lazy I'm still able to get through the ball. I'm going to install an EF HC Blue in the m4 so I can give a true head to head. The 785 is quite a but more forgiving than I expected. I hit it ALL over the face and there is some distance loss, but the ball still goes in the direction I would expect. The ball flight is higher on the 785 than my m4, but without distance loss. It doesn't balloon. (I normally have a low ball flight, so a higher trajectory isn't really a bad thing for me.). The distance is about the same as the m4 so far. Without the same shaft in both I don't feel right about commenting on distance, but so far I'm impressed.
