This is good news for sure, but it isn't just a color issue, it's an object spacing issue too. Every object--left, right, and center--has far too much padding around it. On a desktop of any size the screen is 50% content 50% blank space. It'd be easier on the eye if the blank space was darker, but either way the content is absolutely swimming right now. Oceans and oceans of blank space.

It’s in the process of being built but no eta. Probably within 30 days. But there are other higher priorities on the punch list in terms of function and look.

It's nice to see the changes thus far, and it appears things are moving in a great direction. Thanks to the team working on reviewing the feedback and taking those ideas to development. I'm going to relist some of the things I previously listed in random thought posts, in the hopes that they're still being considered:

 

1. The friends list from the old profile page - this made it so easy to follow and find specific users content. I had added a few of the instructors that post to my friends list and it made it easy to go out and see their recent content.

2. That said, if #1 can no longer happen can there be an easier way to search for a specific user within the advanced search?

3. Within a thread/topic, show the users currently active in the thread. Doesn't add a ton of value, but sometimes it is just interesting to see the volume of people reading and who is actually reading

4. Bring back the "Who's viewed my profile" - again not a deal breaker but interesting to see

5. Inside messages, please bring back the "last viewed" date time stamp that showed the last time each conversation participant viewed the message. Handy when you're messaging someone out WTB/BST ads, etc.

6. When using the forum search, can it be made to default to searching within the current section/area I am viewing? For example, in the past if I was on the BST page and I typed in a keyword to search for, the topic results returned were only from the BST section. Now when I use basic search, it appears the results are from all forum topics.

7. Bring back ability to change our "Member Title" or nickname or whatever it was called. For example on my profile mine now shows as "-TY WEBB - CULBWRX" but I see now what to edit that.

8. Get the social media connections (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc up and working)

Regarding #7... 1st picture shows what I am talking about, circled in red. I've looked everywhere in the "Edit Profile" sections and unless I am missing something obvious I don't see a way to edit that.

This has probably been posted before, but didn't want to dig thru 19 pages. Is there a way to have the photos show inline instead of in thumbnail images? Right now, when images are posted in a thread they show as miniature thumbnails and each one has to be individually clicked on to be viewed and/or loaded.

Apologies if I misunderstood your question but as Easyyy has explained all of the OLD posts will have them ALL pictures as attachments.

 

For ADDING NEW pictures, and seeing them "inline", see below.

it appears all photos uploaded via Gwrx attachments shows as thumbnails. uploaded via 3rd party photo using the BB code shows the full image.

 

although i will note i still cannot simply copy and paste the IMG BB code i grab from Imgur.

Not sure about the imgur thingie but are you copying its "image address/URL" (as opposed to copying IT directly) ? If you copy the URL you can use the RIGHT (side) icon and paste the URL into the lower box, then hit "Enter".

 

The picture will appear wherever you have the cursor in your post at the time.

@DTown3011 They show in line on all **new** comments. The old threads that were loaded by a traditional comment were UNFORTUNATELY converted into thumbs under the comment.

 

To add to the issues when you load 10 images at the same time right now they will all load in the comment box expanded but they are in a random order. So to add them in the right order you have to load them one at a time. That is why Greg's WITB pics are random. We will fix it but again it is on the list.

I was experimenting with shafts, so that was and now still is my user title. Hopefully we will see a fix for this :smiley:

may have been asked previously. In the old version when you clicked on the thread title in one of your notifications, it would automatically take you to where you last left off in the thread. Is this possible now or going to be? The times I've tried it now and it takes me to the comment that produced the notification. I leaned heavily on that feature!!!!!

Previously, there were two links in a “like” notification. There was a small link early in the sentence that said “a post”...clicking on this took you straight to the post the user had liked. Clicking on the larger part of the notification went to the unread portion of the thread.

 

Being able to go two places in a notification was a great feature. But if a notification only has the ability to link to one place, the way it is currently implemented makes the most sense.
