It was fairly innocuous I thought. I generally don't like the trend in fan behaviour at golf events but there was no need for him to get the person thrown out.

I get fed up reading about Poulter getting folk thrown out/fired etc. He should be old enough and wise enough to ignore idiots in the crowd.

Is it just me or is this course in terrible shape. Fairways in disrepair and sandy waste areas the pros are chipping out of around the green...

My brother-in-law is a member at TPC Southwinds and I was able to play 2 rounds there with him in mid June. The previous week they had a tremendous amount of rain with flooding and there were places that washed out in the fairways. They were sodding the places that had washed while we were playing. The superintendent was out all around the course checking on the progress. He is a pretty chill guy but was like, what a time for this to happen.

Since some people count the Hero Challenge for Rickies win total it should be included for Rahm as well.

Rahm is 24 and is a 3rd year full time touring pro with 7 wins on the two largest/best tours in the world. His mental side at this point is much better than you and others want to give him credit for. You do not win that much that fast at his age without being good mentally.

Brooks vs. Rory

A battle for the PGA Tour regular season title and a $2,000,000 bonus.

Rory could also make the POY race interesting with a win as well.

Matthew Fitzpatrick may need to alter his August schedule with a win as that would qualify him for the Fed EX Cup Playoffs. A win would make his previous points count as well and they would more than double to almost 1100. He'd be just outside the Top 20 in the standings.

According to OWGR, Rahm has played 81 global world ranking events and has 38 top 10 finishes including 7 wins. That 49.6% top 10 finish rate.

For comparison DeChambeau has played 104 events and has 21 top 10 finishes including 7 wins. That is 20.2% top 10 finish rate.

Umm OK.... The 4 events that Rahm played in 2014/15 were as an a amateur. As was the US Open in 2016. He turned pro after the 2016 US Open. So he has 7 wins in 76 starts as a professional instead of 77 events. All that aside what does your reply have to do with my reply to @OldTomMorris or mentioning BDC results or Rahm's mental game?

I said he's "slightly lacking in the mental side" compared to his incredible golf skill set. Despite his enormous success, to me, it seems obvious there is scope for improvement.

For those that said this tourny is going to suck/not worth watching is about to give us one of the best head to head matches of the year. What say you now??? lol I just hope that folks don't think Brooks doesn't care because it isn't a Major.

I'll be watching as much as possible. Go RORS!!!!

Old news now but certainly got a lot of people talking when they were first paired together after the RC.

Hopefully Rory vs Brooks deliver a great spectacle. Top players going head to head like this doesn't happen too often.

It’s rough but it isn’t as bad as TV portrays. I was walking around Friday and Saturday noticed, then caught some recorded coverage this morning and was puzzled at how much worse it looks.

Thats the rumour but I bet they are all watching while they continue to claim that there is no meaningful golf till next April.

Yeah I totally agree. That’s the cool thing to do nowadays, “this sucks I’m not going to participate” and then you look at who’s first in line it’s the same people that were just bashing it.

I for one am pumped about this, wish I was staying for Sunday’s potential/hopeful showdown. I walked around Friday caught up with some friends Friday night, watched all 62 of Rory’s shots yesterday. Greens are in great shape, so it should be exciting to watch!

Lol, too true. I for one have no problem admitting that I’ve planned my day around watching a Rory v Koepka final pairing.

I have no problem with someone getting thrown out for being a rude jerk on the course.
