What does everyone use for their 100-110 yard shot

I’ve had a weird change in my game where usually my 54 is my 100-110 shot but recently I haven’t been getting that distance out of the club. Been working with laying off my pw but honestly when I do that it usually still goes 120 and I’m missing my marks.

Anywhere from LW to 9i. Completely depends on the lie, the flag position, the wind, the green speed, etc.

SW or Gap. Lie and temperature have a lot to do with what I use.

Really depends on type of shot and conditions. Higher trajectory usually full 50* gap, lower 3/4 PW.

Medium lag putt, for me. (Now that that's out of the way...) I'll use a gap wedge if I'm feeling jumpy, but usually, I'll go with a pitching wedge, or a 9, if I'm not really awake yet.

110 into wind is a backed off 50

The wedge flex balloons for me and worry if I’m trying to get a little extra out of a gw than it might go straight up.

My LW (58°) tops out at 100, so 105-115 is a SW (54°). 120 is tough because that's alot to take off my GW and a pretty big SW. I'll pick one or the other depending on which yardage miss (long or short) works best for the pin location.

All I can say is if I really push it I can get 115. It doesn't ballon for me.

I feel for you. I can't imagine not having a 100/110 I was confident of. Good luck in your search.

It might be. Since wedges are about precision, if you have to swing out of your shoes to try to reach a certain distance, then you probably are going to lose a lot of accuracy and consistency. Personally I think it is better to carry an extra wedge to cover gaps, especially if you do not have the time to practice and hone in partial wedge shots.

Anywhere from a choke down gap to full, assuming level terrain and calm conditions.

Exact same for me. I play my GW at 51 and SW at 55. If It's windy I'll hit a little 1/2 PW thing or downwind a "full" (but never all out) LW but very rare to make that play. I play with a lot of guys that are semi decent weekend golfers that always hit wedges full out and rarely make a precise or fantastic shot with them. I take something off a wedge probably 95% of the time.

I am a believer in each distance can be made with many clubs, the deciding factor is, where is the biggest trouble. I will play the old man bump-n-run shot, or fly in a high shot and hope it hits and stops. Assuming there is something that precludes me from rolling it up, my 52* (Old Nike VR Forged) is the 100 yard club, despite it's age and use it still spins very well. If I need to carry 110 I'll hit a knock down wedge (46* CF16 Pro). The 52* can be a 105 if I jump on it, but it's not predictable if I go hard after it.

I also just bought a new 50* Cleveland RTX4 wedge to reduce the 46-52 gap. I haven't struggled with it, but figured the Nike grooves are wearing down, and i'll try a new loft and see how it goes. It was short money thanks to some gift cards from vendors.

52° gw or 47° pw. Really depends on lie and pin location.

Yeah, I'll rarely pull 54 for that 110 shot. I'll spin like crazy. That 1/2 50 hits and drops on a dime with no spin from 110. The 50 has been tremendous for my short game this past year.

~95-100 yards is a 60* for me, ~110-115 yards is my 56*.

My pick would depend on pin position and the green layout.

58 or 60 degree wedge for me. My “what do I do at this distance” is 120-130.

1/2 swing pw is still 140 for me. Price I pay for being too strong /s
