COURSE: Colonial Country Club a par 70 of 7209 yards and designed by Perry Maxwell. This PGA Tour event has been played on this course every year since 1946, the longest streak for a PGA Tour event.

FED EX CUP: 500 Points

PURSE: $7,500,000 with $1,350,000 going to the winner

The best field EVER at the Colonial. First place point projection of 72, the highest since last year's BMW Championship in the FEDEX Cup Playoffs.

 

Only 4 of the top 20 in the OWGR are not playing, Tiger, Patrick Cantlay, Adam Scott and Tommy Fleetwood.

70 of the top 100 in the OWGR are in the field.

So happy to have PGA Tour action back on our TV. It certainly could make for an interesting week coming back after 3 months off. Great that there are so many big names at a golf course which is an actual course as opposed to the wide open green fields that seem to populate the PGA Tour.

Changes to the tv broadcast Jim Nantz alone in the tower, mic'd players, and other broadcast tweaks CBS is making with the PGA Tour returning this week

Jim Nantz will be by himself in a box near the 18th green with a robot camera. Faldo, Nobilo and Baker-Finch will be in Orlando. Dottie Pepper and Mark Immelman will be on the course. CBS will have about half the people there that they normally would. They are trying to get some players miked up and there will be a "confession booth" on the course as well for golfer reactions.
