New Titleist Woods 2020/2021

I think they changed the alignment aid and if it’s true that it’s the words tsi, not sure I’m a huge fan of that change.

The weight system looks fine but I think the bars used in the ts3 allowed for more tinkering at first glance.

all in all, I think they look solid and I’m sure they perform well.  I’m still glad to have the ts3 at the discount you can get them at.

How long do we have to wait for a TS4 replacement?

I read elsewhere that with the limited tour usage and even less retail sales, the TS4 may not make the cut in the new lineup, but that was pure speculation, not based on anything directly from Titleist.

Man, I sure hope this is not true.  The TS4 has been an absolute beast for me and many others on here.  Just a deep faced low spin monster.

Yeah, it's not often these days that you see an OEM subtract from a lineup ?  As I said, it was just speculation.

After giving it a night to sleep on and seeing the face from address I'll buy the TSi3 as soon as I can. Just hoping for a less tingy sound and I'll be very happy. Alignment aid on top doesn't bother me being different but I've only ever played TS3 for Titleist woods. Like being able to adjust the slider easier on the back rather than take in to get adjusted. Hoping they stick with PX EF White for their stock shafts. Has been a great 3 wood shaft for stock.

I think the TSi3 has found a way to be both subtle and busy at the same time. I like the sole of the TSi3 from a “less is more” branding perspective but it is still quite angular in design.

I just wish they would release everything at once if they are going to bring out a TS4 replacement.  Hate The staggered release some of these oems do.

I guess it's to be expected after such a big leap from 9-series to TS, the next few releases will be iterative rather than innovative.

once the information and details are released on the new titanium composition, I’m sure you’ll change your tune.

I don’t recall Jimmy Walker ever sniffing 184mph ball speed, but hey here we are.

The more I see them, the more I love them. The TSi3 driver and TSi2 spoon will for sure be in the bag.

But as a Titleist fanboy the procedure will be the normal, buy one driver of each, one spoon of each with different shafts and then have it as winter project to test everything extensively before settle in early spring and sell the leftovers. Done it for every release since 907 ? At least for me a fitting for an hour is useless, I want to test it for real, under different circumstances and different days when your swing might be a little bit on or off.

Interestingly, it seems they have fiddled around with "ATI-425" titanium on a driver last year, albeit on the crown. The material was designed for ballistic armour so no reason why it wouldn't suit a driver face.

Of course ATI on these new clubs could mean something entirely different.

FWIW you can rest assured no golf club manufacturer in the world is putting the R&D required into inventing new metals, and neither are they dictating alloy composition at foundry level. They simply order billets of stuff that is already available.

We'll see what happens, I for one certainly want an excuse to upgrade from the 910.

Really want to know more about what is going on with the face. Actually looks good from address so even though it's strange looking straight on it looks good from address. Not being a long time Titleist driver user the TSi on top actually looks better to me than the arrow. The TSi 3 wood looks the best to me I'm sure that's another rocket launcher. Just hope these are available sometime in October so I can get some use out of them before another baby comes along.

Used to be a fanboy, not so much anymore.  not a fan of the face, crown is typical, bottom is their new norm.  I'm sure they perform, but as with always, is it actually worth dropping what ever embarrassing amount they will be asking for minimal performance.  Also a fan of more matte'd finishes vs. gloss, would have been nice to see.

Since the ts, I don't care for the toe shaping.  The flatter faces make the toe seem more pointed and pronounced.  This makes them appear to sit closed.   These look like the previous ts... closed.  Plus, that alignment aid is ugly.  It's a hard pass for me.

I image-flipped Greg's TSi2 photo from the other thread (to make it LH) and I really like the shape of the head from the address view.  I don't mind the alignment aid on the crown - I was always partial to the original DCI logo, but the new one is fine.  I wish the TSi3 was available in 11* in LH, but I'll "settle" for a TSi2.  Hopefully the GD Tour AD HD is available to order from Titleist by the time pre-orders open.

I'm still a 917 player, driver as well as 3 wood until very recently, they kinda blew it for me with the tsi alignment. I look to titleist for the classic styling and they're far off it with this one unfortunately.

The TS3 update looks pretty good and I'll probably test it out at some point in the "off season" but am more interested to see what they do with the TS4 replacement.  I hope Titleist decides to stick with a smaller CC offering but the market on them is slim.

Willing to bet no tsi4.  The only people buying them are us guys on these forums and I think it was cobra that responded to a question about releasing a speedzone 440:  “we are in business to make money” .  TaylorMade has dropped the 440 for the first time this past year an I see this trend continuing.

if the TSi3 is sufficiently pear shaped that should do for me.
