My pro was told that the Tensei TX flexes are still on hold.  The white is supposed to be shipping end of Feb and the Blue mid March.  I have a Blue TX on order.

I’ve not hit, let alone seen the new line, but curious if there is some consensus on that.  
 

I thought I’d noticed the same with the Sim Max being preferred, too. Perhaps they like something they can just wail on from the tee. 

If they are like the ts2 it’s just that much better.  The ts3 just didn’t cut it really.

I quite liked the TS3, seemed to pop up in a few bags on tour as well, although nothing is getting my 915Fd out of the bag.

I only had time to do an outdoor Trackman fitting for a driver yesterdays which put me into a TSi3 (AD DI 6X 46" tipped 1") - gotta say the head was great and it was fun to try some other shafts while testing (Diamana 60tx BF, Accra TZ6 65 M5).

 

But onto fairway woods, specifically the 16.5*.  I have an old TS3 15* and am giving serious consideration at a 16.5* club.  How much better are the TSi2/3 fairway woods over the older TS offerings?  I haven't had the chance to hit any of the newer TSi fairway woods yet.

My TSi3 driver with the Raw Blue 75TX shipped yesterday from PGA SS.

I wasn't sold on the tsi fairways until I hit them.  thought tsi2 was more to my eye in pictures but set up and metrics the tsi3 was it for me. It's point and shoot and hot for my swing.  still looking for the right shaft for my tsi3...waiting for warmer weather

I had the TS3 in 13.5.. really liked it.  Now I have the TSi3 in 13.5.. all just my opinion.. .but I think it feels and plays much better.  I don't have a shaft I'm totally set on yet, but this is flying better and hotter than my TS3.  It also seems to be hooking less than my TS3, although I'm sure that is me and not the club.  My buddy has a TS3, also.  He hit my new one a few times and immediately thought it was better, for what that is worth.  I think Titleist really knocked it out of the park with these.. I'm only needing now to decide on a 5 wood, which I have never carried or wait and try the new hybrids...hearing good things about those also from the few people that I know have hit them

Has anyone compared the headweights of the fairways between the TS and TSi? I just got a TSi2 15 head and it feels a bit lighter than my old TS3 when shafted.

I went back to my Diamana ZF shaft over the weekend and really found my sweet spot with this driver. I was hitting some absolute bombs! If it weren't for snap hooking a couple off the tee it would have been the best driving day I have had in recent memory. The TSi3 has everything I could ask for in a driver.

I remember you have gamed the 16M2 for a bit, any comparisons to that with the TSi3?

The TS2 and TSi2 fairways that I weighed were identical.  The TS3 and TSi3 heads (while I did not weigh them) both felt heavier when installed than the TS2/TSi2 with the same shafts.

I still have my M2 in the backup bag. It is the best feeling driver I have ever hit but I prefer a muted sound from the driver. When centered, I would say they are both equivalent but the TSi3 definitely feels more stable, especially in the high toe. When it comes to looks, I prefer the traditional looks that the TSi3 offers with the simple, black crown.

Agreed , I’ve had ventus (awesome awesome shafts )  , ad xx..... , kk xd tx etc ,  I think I’m just predisposed to heavy low torque graphite.

Yea you can take it off and it has multiple openings to add a hotmelt needle

You can slowly pull it out with your fingers. Make sure you backed the screw all the way out. I posted pictures in this thread back in November

Anyone do this -I believe Callaway called it animal style- to their TSi3? I wanted a +4, but found it cheaper to grab two -2 weights from BillyBobs to get to 12 total grams of weight.  Too bad I won’t be able to try it out for awhile due to Winter conditions...

So I had a fitting for a TSi driver today. I have a TS2 with EvenFlow white which I love, but I won a new TSi driver in a raffle at my club, sooooo I got fitted.

 

After the fitting I’m upgrading my 9.5 degree TS2 with 68/6.5 EvenFlow white to a 9 degree TSi3 with RDX Black 60/6.5. I was not expecting this - I hated the HZRDS Smoke Black and I’m not playing much (and my back, and my motivation, and and and) so was thinking a TSi2 with Ventus Blue 6X would do the job. I tried all of the stock and upcharge offerings in a similar weight/flex range, and a Ventus Blue 7X. I loved the feel of all of the Graphite Design shafts but struggled to keep spin down. The Ventus didn't work for me - too spinny, but there wasn't a Black available to try and I didn't like the feel much anyway. The RDX Black felt amazing.

 

And the TSi3 with RDX Black gave me great numbers. I tried it toward the end of the fitting and was struggling with my back but I managed 170mph ball speed at 2200RPM, and it felt really good, straight was automatic, there’s room to get the ball speed up, and I could even fade the ball! Great success 😀
