That definitely looks a little deeper than the original SIM. I can’t wait to see some side by side comparison pics!

This  SIM2 seems like it’s similar to the original SIM max some of the tour guys had in the bag with HotMelt get the COG and spin where they preferred.

Some opinions have said the sliding weight didn’t offer huge changes, so maybe this new design supports that.

I think TM realized the SIM max design could be expanded to similar models with different fixed weight placements.

They could stilll sell to different player skills and the heavy weight back like several players wanted.

Those that preferred the SIM could play the SIM2 with a light weight back and hotmelt were they liked to dial it in anywhere the slider could be located.

They will still sell a lot of drivers to a lot of different players with the different models.

Wow are people moaning about a little blue streak, that you can change anyway?

I think it actually looks good and will definitely pop on TV. But maybe TM was right to keep it under embargo for so long....

That pic is the Sim2 Max. The SIM Max is a reasonably deep face vs the SIM, so I don't think we have seen anything yet to indicate that the SIM2 is deeper than the SIM?

Haha!

And TaylorMade Golf - thank you guys for being "involved" here, particularly considering the smattering of pre-release negativity. It really is good to see, and I think the vast majority of us appreciate it.

Yeah, Tiger doesn't hover. You ever heard of him? Plenty of golfers better than both you and I don't hover.

Whhhaaaaa - I think he does.  Now I have to go look.  (looked, and you are correct!).  But I'll play the Jack Nicklaus card here.  "Trumps" Woods 🙂

That blue is so, so bad. It's like a cheap Hobby Lobby paint pen blue.

I thought after a week or so it'd grow on me but, nope, it's still awful.

I REALLY like it, especially compared to the current one.  We all have our preferences I guess.

If someone really likes the new driver, but really hates the blue paint scheme, what process could be used to eliminate the blue and make it black instead? Who could do this type of work and make it look professional?

Where have you been?

TM is offering custom colours

The blue doesn't bother me any, especially if it performs. However, if I can get the lipstick graphics and the aluminum in black for not a huge price increase then wooweee sign me up.

What I’ll be looking to hear about is the fade bias. I hit the SIM Max last season and pulled ref trigger on the SIM to get a bit more fade bias.  The SIM was backordered which allowed me to cancel until I hear the reviews. Worse case scenario I buy the SIM at a discount

32 more sleeps?  I'm in.

I care more about my ball flying down the fairway than the color scheme.

I really can’t understand how the same group that was responsible for one of the best iron lineups ever, turn around and mess it up with THIS???

I hear ya. Irons are all about performance and trying to get it in a classic package. Marketing can tell the engineering story after the fact, plus if it looks good that's even easier. TM did this better than any manufacturer with their most recent lineup.

Drivers are all about marketing first and everything else second since they've been regulated for so long. Most new releases seem to come from marketing telling the designers and engineers what they want to see(visible 'tech' and colors) and them trying to make it happen.

Seems to be a no brainer. Make a beautiful lineup of high end irons. ✔️

Make flagship driver that accompanies those irons in look and performance? No ✔️

That’s a mess up.

But the driver needs to stand out on TV so consumers can identify it in the golf shop.

Send me your SIM2 head and I’ll tremclad it to any color you want.

TM drivers already standout with the Blk/wht heads. I’m sure it’ll be awesome, they always are...but in terms of looks (and after how AWESOME the P Series is) they whiffed.

Still love you though @TaylorMade Golf!

We do chuckle here in the office when you guys make your minds up on whether to buy something or not based on a bad screenshot/black and white image...😆

We know you'll go out and check it out/demo it/compare it to your gamer anyway.

It's what makes you who you are. It's in your DNA. Don't ever change guys, love ya all.

Can you shed light on why mwt went away? Is it because the front and back weights are offset from the center line enough that you assume gear heads will use heavier weights either front or back to adjust fade/draw CoG?
