Same. And hopefully in lefty, as well. I just picked up an M5 3 wood after playing with the SIM for two months, prior, I was gaming the Callaway Rogue Sub Zero. I can get a better feel for M5 head at 161cc vs the SIM at 180cc, because the weight is condensed in a smaller footprint. Also, I couldn't get used to the size of the SIM for shots off tight lies, it didn't look like it was going to get the ball airborne. And it did not do well in any rough.

I love my M5 once the right shaft was installed it has been amazing.  Best Fairway I have owned probably since my R7 HFS or my Aeroburner TP.

Nothing official....

Many people would like to see TM release a Supplemental driver to the series and keep the SIM & SIM Max in the lineup 1 more year.

Personally I would LOVE to see a SIM Driver with a DEEP face released along with maybe a "Smaller" fairway wood the Sim fairways to me were just too big.

Agreed!  There is a SIM "small" 3 wood and 5 wood on tour.  Some heads on on ebay they are like half the size!

Agreed, SIM Tour or small head fairways similar to the 2017 M2 Tour/M4 Tour and I'm in.  A deep face SIM driver would peak my interest but it will take a lot to beat my current SIM setup, we'll see.

So the SIM isn't low-spinning enough? Or are you wanting something as deep faced as those old Yonex/Tourstage drivers?

Not for me. Went after fall bargain and tested SIM 10,5 against my10,5 16' M2 with Tour ADDI. Ball speed were 1-2 up with SIM but SIM spin around 2600 where M2 is solid around 2200, SIM adjusted to get same launch window with AD DI so it wasn't even close to take a spot on the roster.

Would prefer deeper face, but I have my eyes on G425 now (OT obviously).

I would love to see the SIM 2.0 or whatever TM is going to call it as well.  I have the SIM Max and  SIM 15 degree and love them.  I did get to try the Tour Issue Sim v2 3 metal and while I do like the smaller profile head, my tour connect wanted way too much much for it so I passed on it.  I'm very happy with my current set up but being the golf whore I am,  I'm always open to trying new clubs, hehe.

I finally pulled the trigger on a SIM Max D driver because I love the deep face. I have a tendency to snap hook from time to time but as much as I have to work to turn over the SIM Max, I feel I’ll be ok. I feel a lot of people overlook it because it’s the “draw head” for hacks but I know some guys on tour used it.
Back to SIM 2.0 I do really hope they go back to a deep face option like maybe a 430cc option. I’d be making another donation to Taylormade for sure!

Time for me to upgrade soon though - Would love another "tour" head off the rack and not uncharged custom from the truck.

The smaller SIM Ti 3 wd is only about 10-12 cc smaller than the standard SIM Ti 3wd . I have had both sizes since the first of January. It is not easy to see the difference. You have to put them side by side. I thought I would prefer the smaller head, but in the end I have been playing the larger one. Interestingly the larger SIM head has been preferred to the smaller but the SIM MAX 3wd has those who prefer that club because the Titanium SIM was too long for some of the guys thus they have gone with the Steel SIM MAX.

I totally disagree the SIMti is 20cc's smaller than the M5ti Fairway and it shows in it's footprint.

Also we are seeing "As I predicted" that the tour guys were playing a totally different SIMti Fairway on tour.  They are popping up on ebay now.

As for the regular SIM your are correct it's not too much bigger but if you have a Tour M6 you see the difference.

SORRY. I HAVE A MAJOR TYPO IN MY POST--- The SIM "tour" 3 wd is only about 10-12 cc than the STANDARD SIM 3wd. Both are Titanium and they both have exactly the same graphics. The first run on these were virtually identical and hard to tell the difference. I had to mark the smaller head to avoid confusion. I will try to correct the original post.

I made an edit to my original post. But as for the Tour Players it was thought by TM that most of the Tour would use the smaller SIM Ti but that has not been the case in use. That's why they are coming up for sale. I have been in communication with TM when they came out. The response to the slightly head was not what they expected in comparison. The larger head is more accurate without having essentially a  negative larger look and the turf interaction was basically the same.

Did the same here. Went Sim Max at first and wasn’t in love with the face height even though it performed. So I went Type D with some neutral hot melt to neutralize the D weighting a little and add swing weight (44.75” length) set to lowest and perfect. It’s everything I ever wanted in a driver.

Agree strongly with a 430 deep face for another payment to TM. It never ends.

Didn't like the look when it first came out, now I really like it. I'm sure the SIM 2.0 will be the same, just takes seeing it in person at address. I'd personally like a black/white theme. The colors are meh to me.

The D looks good and I would get it, but wish there was an 8 degree model because like to loft up to close the face a bit to help me start my fade left.

Is the D really that draw biased? How does it spin compared to the Sim and Max?
