Okay being from Midwest farmer stock. A little taste of my favorites.

 

Appetizer: Turkey fries 

Soup: Ham and Bean soup with sweet corn bread. Cup serving only to leave room for main dish

main entree: Fried Chicken cooked in lard, mash potatoes w/ chicken milk gravy with chicken bits left over in the cast iron skillet where the chicken was fried. Green beans cooked with bacon and corn on the cob, honey and pearl variety. Biscuits and honey

desert: choice of custard or sugar cream pie or hot apple pie  with ice cream.

Nice, I used to like fattier cuts but gravitate toward filet now for the texture. Just made some on Saturday. 

 

These were just 1.5 inches so just a few minutes on each side in the pan with a little butter. Voila...
