Probably a few reasons why my mind went somewhere else. I'm under 50, not American, not a big Peanuts fan and my wife's name is Lucy

What were the odds of that ?  I got a good laugh out of it.

I'm a bit older than you but my favourite cartoons as a small kid were Garfield and Asterix and The Far Side a little later.

I found Peanuts kinda depressing, probably because the jokes were going over my head

Personal opinion:  The Far Side is decidedly better than Peanuts.  🙂

I still do work in an office (pandemic adaptations aside).  Used to really like Dilbert but it wore on me after a while, to the point it's fallen off my radar.  <shrug>

Office Space is what I always think of now.  One of my cousins is talking about doing an Office Space to the printer he shares with a coworker, once it's aged out and replaced.

I've asked for video.  LOL

Sometimes Dilbert hits too close to home. I haven't looked at the comics since we cancelled getting the paper years ago. Some of my old favorites were B.C., Calvin and Hobbes, Shoe, Wizard of ID and Mother Goose and Grimm. My brother and I shared all of the Peanuts books.

Heck.  If we’re going all time favorites. Family circus is hard to beat.  If you have the sense of humor to stomach it.  Or. Calvin and Hobbes.   Not bad either in the genre of kid and cat humor.

Yep.  To this day if I see Reese Bobby  ask for TPS reports , it makes me want to punch something.  That movie was so well done it’s hard to believe.

Funny story about TPS Reports...

The unit I work in used to have a series of three cubs along a row of windows.  Behind the last cube was a conference room.  My coworker in that cube next to the conference room was going to have a meeting with a few folks, it was an involved subject that was dragging on.

I'd found a pdf of the TPS Report cover sheet, each of us in the unit had one on the wall.  Guy comes up for this meeting, look at Pete's cube, "I see you've got your cover sheet for your TPS Reports."

Afterwards, my coworker tells me it was the smoothest meeting he'd had in quite a long time.  🙂

Haha, it's just different.  Love Peanuts and the two oversized hardcover volumes with the complete Far Side collection are always in the living room and at the ready for review!

Kind of like Maverick vs. Bonanza, The Rockford Files vs. Magnum P.I. . . .

I think I may have mentioned it earlier.  The coworker in the cube behind me, with his TPS Report cover sheet on the wall, was really named Peter.  Yes, I'd Lumbergh him every so often.  LOL

Not really. Think about the construction.

do you  hammer nails with a hammer or a frying pan ?  You can do it with the pan.  But the sweet spot of mass is much harder to find. Will you miss the nail completely with the hammer ever ?  No , not if you’re even remotely competent. The entire hammer face has the same amount of mass behind it in practical measures, only lacking minutely on the extreme edges.  Meanwhile the frying pan. Is going to deflect all over if you miss dead middle.

Nice analogy.  Some say the best game improvement iron is to at least practice on the range with an MB if you want to improve your strike consistance. Consider it a training tool. Ali Taylor just did a video on this very discussion which was interesting.  Sure don't play them when competing at your club but as far as feedback on strike. There is no substiture. Like a child learning to be a carpenter. Practice with a hammer after they get the idea with that frying pan not the other way around!  Golf is a game of opposites 🙂

The idea of using MB as a practice club, then add MOI/GI for the course is only valid if you match up gross weight shaft profile and SW. If you cannot do that, do not even bother.

Never understood the idea of practising with clubs that you are not going to play. It makes more sense to learn how to hit shots with whatever club you play than something totally different.
