Ultimately it is probably a net positive for the sport to have a universally hated player vying for titles. It seems to work okay for college basketball. 

I just find him to be a genuine deal. And a breathe of fresh oxygen. One that thumbs his nose at the idea that we have to bow to the media and  Twitter. Both being mouth pieces for a very loud non majority.

Nah. The guy i quoted wants him to kiss the media’s butt to regain image. What folks don’t realize is that some of us dont care about image.  All the extra side sponsors get you is censorship. Freedom , albeit incremental amounts , tastes better than a few more $.

He gets out of every missed green somehow. He’s darn good. All while being short and inaccurate off the tee or a really long course.

Yeah, said Tiger should DQ himself over some zoomed in HD footage replay.  Exactly what I was eluding to before.  All that stuff and a lot more was in that Brandel thread that went on for a long while.

The quip about the pillow and questioning how Reed could sleep at night Then the comment about how it was too bad the fans weren't there because PR would have had a much harder day. Won't even  talk about Brandel's Reed derangement issues.

Possibly CBS Golf and Golf Channel's lowest moments, with asshat comments by Nance, Faldo, Dottie.  They never once cited a rule, but ran on emotion.  Those asshats should be fired, and let NBC or ABC handle the golf commentary.  Truly a bunch of liars.

And you'd be hard pressed to find instances where Gary Player or Tom Watson ever called fouls on themselves, though they both did them.  Player, in the rough, Watson, on the greens.

 And had no problem presiding over a club that prided itself for years on"keeping the members white and the caddies black"

  But yes Jones was a great player and called a penalty on himself ( also liked to throw clubs)

   No one is without flaws
