With a mid range SS of around 93-95 would there be a big difference in distance with the Tour-X and Tour?

Latest research I've read suggests the higher compression balls (typically the X version of balls) will have more ballspeed across all swing speeds (contrary to some marketing claims).  However, it's probably insignificant yardage relative to score as hinted at in above post.  I always play with the softer, lower compression versions as I get enough spin around and into greens, and I hate a hard/clicky ball off irons.

You won't go wrong with the CS.  It is still my preferred choice for distance and spin with my swing speed.  I'm going to test the Tour S again when I go to Palm Springs later this month.  Don't care for the TR for putting.  Strange feel.  I'd give CS the edge over the TR for distance as well.

Thanks for talking me off the ledge.  My driver SS is only 88 so with my +3-4 AOA at that speed I need a higher spinning ball.

No matte green ...

No yellow ...

I'll go either OnCore or Vice 🏌‍♂️

I haven't tried the OnCore but they 2020 Elixr and 2022 Elixr are 2/$50.  The 2020 has cast urethane, 2022 is TPU urethane.

What do you think of them compared to the Maxfli or Vice?

2020 Elixr, Vice Pro, and Maxfli Tour are same or very similar....been well documented.  If choosing between those go with the best deal.  The 22 Elixr is a step down IMO, as the cover feels cheap and IMO suffered in the feel category off the putter.  It was also shorter off the tee then the 2020 Maxfli Tour (not by a wide margin but noticable), but it was a solid performer in all other categories and the cover held up well.  IMO a cheap enough experiment to test out and see for yourself!

Personally I think they all perform just about the same ... just tried the Vice Pro this year & it was fine ... I like Snell Black too

I tried the Elixr a few years ago (prob 5 now) bc a buddy who's a pro switched from ProV to them ... he said he couldn't tell the difference so I figured if he thinks they're Ok they prob are esp for chop

I use the green bc I can see it better than any other color ... the Vice shade is close but the green is best for me

Long time ago I was a believer that the ball really matters but I honestly feel now that it doesn't mean anything esp w how good all the upper end balls are ... I can shoot 71 or 91 w a ProV Maxfli or OnCore depending on the day

So True.  Yesterday I shot a 90 with a Kirkland V2 and only because I had a mental breakdown out of the sand, couldn't get out cleanly if my life depended on it and I couldn't get a feel for the putter (Putting for birdie 2-3 times and ended up with bogey).  Guys 15 years younger and in much better shape than me were out-driving me by 5-15 yds.  I was still getting good distance for me with the KSigs.  This was a course with ALOT of water and didn't want to lose "Premium" balls.  I ended up not losing any balls.  Go figure.

I decided to pick up the old 48 pack. Can’t beat the deal for the quality.

I went for 4 dz of the new 23s . Dick's sends me $10 coupons all the time so it was like 27.50/doz delivered.  Now,  just hoping the 23s are the same,  or better,  than the old model.

What's the deal? As far as I can tell, the 48 pk box is the same price as buying 4 individual dozen packs (i.e. $120).

I think your math is off! At $40 for one dozen, 4 dozen would run $160. The $120 price for 4 dozen works out to average $30/dz.

If you get coupons from DSG ($10 usually) it would bring down the cost per dozen to $27.25/doz before tax.

I either game the Maxfli Tour or the Vice Pro.  Vice just had the 5+1 deal so with tax and delivery were $28/doz.  I still have 4 doz. Maxfli Tour that will be gaming this year as well.

I'm really liking the Tour S. But it is in the simulator. Can't wait for the weather to break here in the south suburbs of Chicago to check them out outside.

How would one snag a $10 off coupon.

About to place an order for 2 dozen Tour and 2 dozen Tour S. Already have 3 dozen of the X from last year. And figure the new one won't be different enough. So might as well load up on the other two models for some testing.

Giving some thought to trying the Tour S.  Need that Duo Pro replacement, right now it's either the QStar Tour or the Tour S.  The Vice Pro Soft would be OK for me, but I'd prefer something a bit more stable in the wind.

The Duo Pro set a very high bar in wind stability.

If you sign up for text alerts you get a $20 off $100 coupon redeemable only in stores.  I get the $10 coupons because I buy alot from DSG.  I have 4 kids that play alot of sports LOL.  I get them in email or mailers if you are signed up for a rewards account.

... I use my Dicks CC like a checking account and try to pay for everything using it, then pay it off every month. So I rack up tons of Rewards from $10-$40 each. Save them up for a month and then Maxfli Balls are free. I just bought 2 dozen Maxfli Tours for $70 and used $70 in rewards.
