UK is only SkyTV I believe.

Their main coverage starts in 15 minutes.  Up t now it's been an exercise in how to kill the enjoyment of a tournament.

Hopefully the full live coverage will be a lot better.

Can announcers no longer say “water”?
 

Are they instructed to only say penalty area? Sounds awkward sometimes. Like are they actually concerned that viewers don’t know that water results in a penalty?

Because they're probably only showing featured groups. No live TV broadcast until 3pm est.

Yeah that's most likely the issue, but they could do a MUCH better job of updating on the other players outside of the featured groups.

I also noticed one of them (Catalon I think) was apparently instructed not to say "stands" or "grandstands" and instead referred to them as "spectator observation platforms".

Could be worse, you could be in Canada and have to deal with TSN. They came on the air and gave us 15 minutes of useless talk by their talking heads and the same golf theme music they have used for 30 years before showing a single shot. Last night they replayed the hour-long preview show with those same 3 talking heads 6 times in a row.

Watching the Masters just makes me wish it was The Open Championship. Is it July yet?

I was watching the "my group" coverage on the app and decided to switch over to the main broadcast, but they're all over the place. Currently watching CT Pan's entire pre shot routine while already out of the tournament. 

 

As for the greens, they're awesome! Rain coming over the weekend so make it tough now.

Son of a gun, my coverage on my phone flipped to amen corner without me knowing. That's what I get for trying to work during masters week.

Golf has so much unnecessary terminology that makes announcers sound pretty silly IMO. Like calling the green the “putting surface” or the “green complex”.
 

Reminds me of an great George Carlin bit about alternative language lol.
