I was thinking with Jordan's shot, "How do these guys get out of jail everytime like that... when I'm in a situation like that every 10,000th hole I play (9999 in the fairway), I can never get out."  So it was a bit refreshingly realistic to see his shot hit the tree.  Too bad for the putting at the end of that hole.

The greens are indeed perfect. They are playing at 5pm right now local time. They are going to be bumpy. They will be pristine tomorrow morning for the guys out right now. And so it goes.

The seem to be putting absolutely perfectly.

 

They have tinges of brown. BFD. That's what happens when make them firm enough.

There's a difference between rolling perfect for putting and being receptive to shots...especially at Augusta where depending on where the pins are at, there are only small sections you can land them on.

 

Im all for making them as fast as they can, but good iron shots can't be penalized.  These things need to be brought back to life a little bit, otherwise the weekend will be like landing iron shots on concrete slabs.

For this tournament, they are right where they should be and to my eye, it's been quite a while since they look this speedy. I could care less about the brownish tint.

They are playing firm fast and fair. They are repelling less than ideal shots. hat is not to like? It is just fun banter to me.

They’ve anticipated for the rain that’ll start every night starting Friday. They’ll be fine and after last year they were always going to make them challenging today and tomorrow
