Jobs/careers of Golf Wrx'ers

High school science teacher/coach.  Excited for this summer, gonna try and play quite a bit, that or fish.

Co-owner of a small company doing logging, trucking, and road construction.  Wear many hats in the organization:

hire & fire

run and repair the equipment

sweep the floors

make the coffee

entertain investors

make sales

accounting, IT, HR, EAP, PR, and putting up the holiday decorations.

even sometimes make a profit.  But not usually.

 

 

Also have a real job in energy & utilities.

I always introduce myself as Dr to real doctors/dentists etc just for their reaction. Otherwise the only time I asked to be called that is when someone pisses me off.

Back when I was teaching, I always liked to pull the "That's MR. Doctor xxx to you..." joke on my students. Never failed to get a chuckle.

Currently business analysis and change management for a construction contractor. Mostly within design and operations, digitising old fashioned manual processes. 

Spent my life in construction with a short spell in manufacturing, working on some very interesting, very expensive, very complex buildings. And many small, boring, cheap ones too. 

 

Every day is different, and I get to meet lots of interesting people.
