Those of you who are going T100S or T200…how are you handling gapping at the bottom end of your bag?

I’ve played 52/56/60 for years and am very happy with the yardages I hit but with the PW at 44/43 I’m gonna have an 8’ gap (considering my P7MC is 47’ it is almost an extra club gap)

Current Bag make up is:

Driver

4 wood

3 Hybrid

4-PW

52/56/60

Theres no room for an extra club…I was tempted to drop the 4 iron but my course has lots of low branches and it’s my punch out club!!

I actually found this to be quite easy to be honest.  Personally, I always found 4 degrees is too little between wedges, at least for me, so I got, 44, 49 bent from 50, 54 and 59 bent from 58.  Works really well for me.

Do what I did years back, set gap wedge at 50* then 54*/58*.  You won't miss the extra 2* from the LW and I find the 54* much easier to hit than a 56* for more full shots.

I agree. 4 degrees is too little separation with my wedges for me. Going T-100S 44 PW, then a 50 bent to 49, 54, then 60. This setup works really well for me and gives me the distance gaps I need.

Ok, i am probably the only one who is going to play the T300 with the Tensei AM graphite shafts. Blowing the minds of all the WRXers, no one else plays that light of shafts 😂

Red, Blue, or, White? Red seems to be the standard for T300's. Blue for the T200's, and, White for the T100's. But, there are a few other std price graphite shafts, that you can order. I am going with the std Blue - regular for my T200's, which, are a bit lighter than the Recoil 95's, I currently have.

As for gapping at the bottom of the bag, pw, 48(T200 gw). 52, 58.  though, I will be replacing the 52 with a 54.

I custom ordered the Blue for the T300s, the Red are a little too light. I'm making a similar transition, going from Accra 95 icwts, down to the Tensei Blue. My gapping is going to be a little off with a 43 T300 PW up to an Edel 50 degree gap wedge, but will deal with it later.

Don’t have a response for you (I’d go 48/54/60) but I’d love to hear some thoughts on your experience with T100S vs. your P7MCs?

Sorry in advance if this is a stupid question/comment. Just got out of college and playing Ping G game improvement irons. Down to a 3 handicap and looking to get the T100 as I have a fitting scheduled next week. I am nervous that they’ll be too bladey or I won’t hit them well at the fitting and I don’t want to be the guy that tells the fitter what club to fit them into. Anyone have any advice?

They will definitely be much smaller looking than your G irons, like a lot.  However, dont think you’ll have any issue hitting them, but as a 3 it could go either 2 ways, either you’ll hit them worse due to size or hit them better due to having slimmer soles and such.

Do NOT hit them off mats or indoors (my opnion).

That makes 2 of us! Fitter talked me into trying that shaft.  I hit it well so I'm trying graphite for the first time in irons.

I got to hit these today. The T100 look fantastic all around. They are small and thin topline. By comparison the P7MC irons looked THICK.  I would say the feel on the T100 feels like a solid dense "snap" and definitely not a hard or hollow click, really nice feel. I was only getting 4400 spin on the T100S 7 iron so that was a no go for me. I pre-ordered T100 5-P with Modus 120x.

I tried to hit t100 again today but was not allowed to unless I paid for a fitting.  While I was there I hit a used P7mc and fell in love. How did the new t100 compare to the P7mc in terms of feel?  I thought the MCs felt really soft and looked great.  Side by side with the new t100 they looked pretty comparable

I didn't actually hit the P7MC, they just had a set that was in the plastic. I think when the heads are still in the plastic, the lighting in the store can play tricks on how they actually look. To me the P7MC in the plastic looked like the topline was noticeably thicker than the new T100, but it could have been an optical illusion. By no means do I think the P7MC is a bad looking club, probably one of the best, actually.

I agree with jetmech879. I don’t understand your nasty response to him. Why would that store allow you to hit the p7 for free but not allow you to demo the Titleist without charging you for a full fitting? That doesn’t seem right to me either. If a store tried that with me, I wouldn’t go back. Just stating a fact 🤷🏻‍♂️

p.s- before you say it…it’s way too hot out today to go play 9, so I’ll just stay inside in the a/c commenting on other people’s posts 😂😂😂

Had a chance to hit the T100, T100s, and T200 today during a fitting. The face feels great and the sound is exactly what I was hoping for. The offset is better than the previous T100 IMO, and for how small the blade was I still had a lot of ball speed on mishits.

I liked the T200 for a 4i but the lofts are too far off. The T100/s still have a lot of oomf on the mishits, I was most surprised by this coming from 712 AP2s that aren’t as forgiving as the T100 were.

Sorry man I think I misread your post and assumed you were being sarcastic lol, my bad.  I agree it’s silly for stores to not let you demo product without a $200 fitting.  Def won’t go back to that store which is bad for them.  I almost always spend money on other things when I go to demo clubs.  Again sorry for the mix up

Its all good brother! I have done the same thing. So back to these beautiful sticks! So excited to get my t100S! I haven’t hit the P7MC but I think the T100 definitely looks more blade like and a touch more compact. Probably can’t go wrong with either. Now find a new store and go hit em! 🤣

Went to the local Golf Galaxy a few months back to try new drivers.  I was allowed to, but it was greatly discouraged.  They were trying to charge a fitting fee.....Considering how much money I have spent there over the years after just walking in and hitting something for the hell out of it, I thought it was a bad business move....

The GG by me won’t even let you attempt to hit a club unless it’s preowned without paying for a fitting. I went in the other night about 30 minutes before close to grab a new glove and asked if I could hit a DI demo and they told me I either would have to pay for a fitting or pay to use the track man for an hour.

Aren't the 100 + 100S exactly the same size? With the difference being the additional Tungsten infusion in the 100S?

I was comparing the T100 line to the Taylormade P7MC. You are 100% correct the T100 and T100S are the same size.

Ordered T300 as well. We are in the minority for sure.

The T300 group is growing!  I could have played tbd T200 but the numbers were a little bit better every way I looked at them with the 300.   Went Tesei Red over the Recoil 95.  Again could have played either one as I have 95’s in my Srixons.  But the Tensei felt s bit more lively.

Yes. They are slightly smaller than the Gen1 T300 in all aspects.  Most notably the top line as well as blade length.   Yet still offered a confidence inspiring view and great performance.
