I am watching SO and JT has a new long neck anser style putter with skinny grip. Pretty radical change right before a major. Putting good thru 6 holes.

He switched to a newport for a while a year or to ago.. Right before he switched back and won..

Yep ... with that long of neck, probably close to face balance. Although it could just be the angle of the photo.

I'd love to try one like this but with a neck more similar to the Squareback 2.

I’d love to have seen him go opposite.  His x5 with a 2/3 inch pipe neck.  Welded on the heel. Get it near toe down and then watch it work.  His stroke has always looked great.  I doubt going face balanced helps his reads.  Or speed.

This is the knucklehead hosel, Cameron has done this for years. It’s a spud instead of a hosel, with a straight piece of shaft, an aluminum knuckle, and a normal plumbers neck section of shaft up to the grip. Scotty likes it because he can lengthen or shorten the initial piece of shaft, below knuckle, to adjust face balance. Can even inject it with foam to change feel on earlier models. Look up H14 model, it’s essentially that putter but the new head. A couple pros still us knucklehead hosels but it never took off.

This is why I think pxg is the best out there for putters...every head has the option for double bend, slant neck, or plumbers neck.

They certainly are forward thinking.  Cameron won’t even do a double bend on most. Much less a plumbers.   I don’t think most realize that their necks are mostly single bend.  You see tour Guys like poulter or Patrick cantlay with double bends , but that’s about it.  I’ve always thought that was very odd , even though a double bend doesn’t work for me.

Seems like I have heard Cameron say before he doesn't like double-bend shafts. He doesn't really like face-balanced, thinks every putter should have some amount of toe flow. I can see his point.

I can't. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has trouble with tow hang as I tend to yank everything left with one.
