TM is great at building expectations. Absent a miracle,which won't happen, nary a yard will be gained. And if you want a custom shaft, order Stealth II, because it will be delivered sooner......

What will TM come out with? The same as everyone else, the longest, straightest hitting driver they've ever made. If you look back at the claims made for every new driver introduction over the last 30 years we should all be hitting 400 yard drives straight down the middle every time. 🙄

The next time you see skiers racing the Downhill event watch what happens when they get to the bottom. They'll take off their 215cm downhill skis, which are not sold to the public, and a tech will rush over with a pair of current year 175cm GS skis for them to hold up for the cameras. 🙄

I was fortunate enough to be invited to an event at the Kingdom this morning where I got to hit the new TM driver. Here is my prediction: 

 

This driver will achieve "GOAT" status on this site with the likes of the 2016 M2, the G400 max, Srixon 745 irons..... etc. 

 

The driver looks clean, sounds better than SIM or SIM2, ball speed is borderline illegal, and it is VERY stable and forgiving. Easily the best TM driver I have ever hit.

Did you get to see the fairways? Adjustable hosel on the max fairway yet?

By my unofficially record keeping, so far we are right on schedule for a TM driver release cycle...

 

✅ Word starts to leak of a driver idea that is so bat**** crazy it cant possibly be true

✅ Random person on IG/Twitter says they've seen it and we'll be BLOWN AWAY by how bat**** crazy it is

✅ Random forum person says same

✅ TM says we are x-hundred sleeps away from more information

✅ Seemingly brand new "random" forum members say they were at an event and hit it and its completely bat**** crazy

One sole "illegal" picture "comes out of nowhere" and leaks onto forums from said event

WRX gets a cease and desist to delete all pictures

Pictures naturally leak all over social media within 37 seconds

TM "relents" and says "OK, here are more pics"

Entire forum says how awful and ugly and terrible this idea is

Entire forum trips all over themselves to order one

 

 

 

 

I'll skip to the part where I admit I'm going to order one. To be fair though, going to have to be pretty damn good to kick the SimMAX out.

Well, I only got to hit the titanium 3 wood with a stock stiff shaft. I will say that it has a clean look at address and feels hot off the face, but I usually play a higher lofted 3 wood with a stiffer/heavier shaft. I need to try the fairway with a better set up for me before I decide.

I remember 30 years ago when 300 yards was long. Way long. Long drive guys hitting it 330-340 was deep. I could hit it over 300 with persimmon back then and was longer than most. Fast forward to today and I hit it further than I ever have and straighter at age 47 with less play and practice. Long drive guys hit it 425 now and every guy on tour laughs at the 300 yard mark. Maybe some of these claims have been more spot on than many admit.

Still have v sole?  I mean, I'm just curious.  I'm still playing an m5, I'll probably update to sim or sim2 after the new ones release and people start unloading.

Sounds great. So how offensive is the red face? Thats the only part that has me nervous

Pic is leaked and taken down, followed by 734 posts in the thread asking to be PM'd the pic by those who saw it and took a screen shot.

I’ve also been lucky enough to hit the Driver, fairway and new irons. No one who has hit it will have a picture as they signed a NDA. Blackout ends January 4th.
I’m not a current TM player, but agree this thing is miles above SIM2, sounds and feels great and gave me 7mph faster ball speed over the SIM2.

I’ll be asking my rep for one for sure.
