Does anyone else notice something different about Tiger's face?  Something doesn't look the same.  Kind of under his eyes or around the cheek area is puffy.  Maybe it's just me but something looks different.

It is clear that Woods is not near that level now. There were numerous good shots, especially with his short clubs. Woods was sharp around the greens, hit some nice wedge approaches, and even bombed a 320-yard drive on the 11th hole.

 

But most of his tee shots were in the 280-yard range, and after the 11th, he played sparingly, by design.

I can listen to Trevino all day. He may like to hear himself talk, but he’s funny, engaging, insanely knowledgeable, and it may not seem it, humble and isn’t afraid to give people praise.

You wouldn't look the same after a major accident and literally lying around for months.  He's also gotten older and is starting to put on a little weight.  My face changed as I got older.  I look like me, but different than I looked when I was 20.

I look in the mirror I still see younger "me", I see pics of old HS friends and I still see them as they were then.  I guess everyone else sees older me, I don't career except . . . . was in for some medical assessment and saw a nurse practitioner who would be a perfect Hallmark Christmas movie romantic lead.  We were discussing merits of flu shots and young, perky and comely lady looks at me and says "well _______, at your age .  . . " Illusions shattered!

I always liked him, an original. Talk about owning your game. Doesn't get all the praise he deserves.

As a teen, and my first experience at a pga event, I followed Travino around for an entire practice round. He was funny and very engaging and seemed to genuinely enjoy talking to people. It was a blast!

it’s closing his stance and brings ball farther back, he says he tries to hit the inside of the ball so imagine this helps his feel.

Yeah, we see our selves in a different light.  I saw (a couple of years ago) a few pictures of me on the beach.  Who the F was that guy?  Where did John Daly come from?

That's a different matter.  One that should begin with the firing of those that approved that face.  Clearance rack material before January.

I'm shocked he's playing this week now that I've actually seen him on tv. I thought his leg was a little skinny, but seeing it live it's much more than I thought. He's got another 6-9 months before he'll have enough muscle before he could handle a full tournament. He can get away using a cart but his weight is basically being supported by ligaments and cartilage right now, which can turn painful really quick if he moves wrong. It clear by how he's swinging he's not pushing off the back leg. I'm curious if he can even swing hard more than 2 or 3 times without it being painful. Feel like he's only here because he can rely on charlie for the length of the tee. If he though he was going to have to swing hard off the tee he probably wouldn't be playing.

I don’t know if he’s going to play in all four, but he’s not waiting 9 months to play again

Doing a lot of walking before he’s ready could be more dangerous than the dynamic aspects of the game.

 

If he goes out trying to walk miles on end, day after day, and he’s favoring his left leg too much, this could set of a chain of injuries to his legs, back, hips. 
 

I think that’s one aspect that he can push but not to the extent he hasn’t shown himself he can walk 4 days plus practice days at least a few times at home. 
 

Open at St Andrews in July? Maybe. That would be a very cool debut actually ; )

He needs to walk as much as possible to rebuild the arch of the foot which is flat as a pancake following the non-weightbearing and trauma, it builds up fast if he walks every day and the small limp will go away once the arch is rebuilt
