How was he hitting it overall?  Could you get an idea of what kind of numbers he was getting on the Foresight?

I played one round with Brendan a long time ago as he's from the Riverside area and played on the UCR team.  We played at The Ranch in Moreno Valley where his bff was the head pro  He's usually in the low 170's ball speed, but has a 6th gear where he can get up in the mid 170's on course for reference.

Betting it’s in Wilson staffers contracts that they have to give the Wilson drivers a fair chance (test) before they can put the TM, Titleist, Callaway or Ping drivers in their bags. 😂

I kid, I kid 😁

Probably something similar to all the Callaway contracts that basically say that if you can prove that another companies clubs out preforms ours ... you're allowed to play it while we make something better

I want to support Wilson, but I’ve had too many bad experiences to do so. And I’m not talking about being a grumpy, entitled customer with a firm but fair company, they built my clubs so wildly out of spec and never took the blame. Furthermore, their tennis racquets have the reputation of being wildly outside of their +/- 7 gram weight spec.

So I’ve experienced quality golf irons and wedges, poor golf build quality, poor customer service and poor tennis racquet quality.

Wish Wilson could make a comeback.  So much history.  Need to have more places to try or test their stuff.

I believe they are making a comeback. Their irons are fantastic (love the new D9) and always get rave reviews. Wedges are getting better as well but still need variety. Woods, drivers and hybrids have been their weakness so maybe this is a step in the right direction.

IF and that's a big IF they could get their messaging straight, and get their products on the shelves, they MIGHT make a bit of a comeback. But this driver could be a big step towards that if it performs as well as it looks.

W/S is a huge sentimental brand for me and I've played their irons and wedges for as long as I can remember.  But for a long time now their woods/hybrids lineup has been, evaluated as a whole, poor.  The much maligned Cortex - and this was due to the ridiculously awful tv show that produced it - is actually a very good club.  It returned very solid performance against the competition when it came out if you look at the spy site testing data for that year.

Its in my bag now because it may not be the longest driver but currently its the straightest for me and last year it beat out the Epic Speed, Ping 410 and 425.  But sadly this has been the exception over the years.  The last W/S drivers that spent any extended time in my bag prior was the old W/S Dd6 and W/S Smooth which were great clubs but that was like, forever ago.

In the interim there's been the Spine (in fairness, everybody was making cr@ppy square drivers then), the DXi line (nope), the FG Tour M3 (a decent club, if a little spinny), The C300 line (the FW and hybrids in that line are actually really, really good, but the driver was a dog which just kills interest in the rest of the lineup), the FG Tour F5 (that whole woods/hybrid lineup was just meh), the original DVD winner Triton (let's face it, most people bought it for the shaft to use in something else)...

In my mind its not that they can't produce a good woods lineup.  But the financial committment to both develop, and keep developing this so you can generate some interest among better players can be high - they are the costliest clubs to engineer for performance.  So its not that they can't but just haven't committed the money to doing it.  If you were a W/S player and they came to you and said "hey check out our new driver" my response would be "what is your committment to keep doing it?"

And with Wilson golf falling under the umbrella of a bigger holding company someone is looking at that and saying, for X amount of spend on woods R&D we can expect Y gain in market presence.  And to this point I'd have to say it hasn't added up for them.  Maybe something will change.  But IDK, one look at their hot mess of a website and I come away thinking that marketing for Wilson golf is a shared service with baseball or something because its clear whoever maintains it knows nothing about golf, that's for sure.

ANYWAY, this new driver looks good and if they release it I'll want to give it a workout.  Also interested in trying the Stealth and Rogue lines this year as well.

I played the d100 when it came out new. It blew away everything I tried at EW when I demoed it, and I hit a ton of stuff that day. I’ve also used the FG Tour F5 driver that, for me, was outstanding. Loved beating guys in our group with their latest and greatest CALLY, TM, PING stuff. Still bag the FG Tour F5 fairway woods. They always wind up back in the bag after trying other stuff that’s usually short lived for me! Would love to see this driver he’s trying be brought to retail!

The club is on the conforming list Face seems to have changed but not much else.

Really hoping there's some adjustability to this one. I think that's the #1 thing that kills their drivers as they launch is bonded hosel instead of using an adapter. Hell, I'd be fine if they license it out from one of the bigger companies so they don't need to make their own.
