Missed opportunity.

Oh, I see....you don't have a prediction to put up against mine, you expect me to Bet Scottie S against the field.

Your craftiness knows no bounds.......think that I'll go to a casino where I get 500-1 for that. Carry on!

Maybe you could find that at a casino, but I doubt it since you seemed so sure in your initial post on the subject.

I doubt he'd get 500-1 on the world #1, and winner of 4 of his last 6 starts, one of THEM being a Major no less, on winning 1 of the 3 remaining.

But of course he'd be a knucklehead to bet you even money on it. :classic_wink:

Scottie reminds me of a couple guys I play golf with, doesn't look pretty but when you walk off 18 your lunch money is gone.

The 4 putt was a blip, nothing more. Standing on the final green he lost focus and started thinking about the green jacket instead of the putt.

Think he'll win again (sorry Ferg) this season.

Now that's close to an even money prop.

Wonder if Fergy will take it ?

Good call Ferg....

I think he's in the Spieth sphere, runs extremely hot and then cools off

So 4 wins (?) already, I'd ride him rest of the year. His double-dimpled darling wife will keep him grounded in guessing.

A lot to consider with Scheppler (as enunciated by Verne Lundquist during Saturday's round) for the reminder of the year.

The Marriage

They are high school sweethearts.  The guy never played the field after high school and now he's a masters champion.

It begs the suggestion that the doctor rule might be in play here.

The Game

I don't see Scheppler completely falling apart but I do see him stalling perhaps.

I remain steadfast that he's done winning in 2022.

The PGA

I'm guessing no better than T-15

The US Open

He doesn't have the style of game to win the United States Open Championship

The British Open

Again, he doesn't have the style of game to win the British

Slippin Jimmy and Elaine !! 👍 LOL

The PGA \ this one may trip you up Ferg. Scottie has won at Southern Hills, LOVES the course and has played it numerous times.

The other two Majors I agree with you.

In an interview afterwards he mentioned crying about the pressure of finishing off the final round and had to pray on it with his wife. Tells me he lacks self confidence and these wins have relied on talent alone. Talent will only get you so far but to be a champion you have to want the ball down by one with 2 seconds on the clock.

There's definitely something more important that I should be doing.

Yeah, but he's not the only one to have played there and won.

He's not the only hungry guy on tour.

There will come a day when players will fear the name of Scottie Scheffler like the mighty warrior that was Mike Tyson......they all will have a plan until Scottie hits them......

I mean, he did finish off that final round, didn't he? I think you are confusing a greater comfort with speaking about emotions with weakness. Bill Russell used to get so nervous before games that he'd throw up. You're telling me he didn't have what it took to be a champion?

I’m not sure why old guys always have to bring up some outlier from a hundred years ago like it’s the rule instead of the exception.

There's definitely something more important that I should be doing.
