What up with Scottie?

I'm sure i heard the commentators say that Scottie and his wife play board games when he's not playing golf?

What happened to the John daly's of the golf world? DJ is all settled now, Tiger has been a goody two shoes for years, pro golfers have become boring again

I didn’t make a prediction, offered a wager on yours.

Oh, I see....you don't have a prediction to put up against mine, you expect me to Bet Scottie S against the field.

Your craftiness knows no bounds.......think that I'll go to a casino where I get 500-1 for that. Carry on!

At the risk of bringing in religion, SS faith is a big part of his life. He met Ted Scott at bible study.

Not knowing him well, or at all really, it could be that SS is a very humble person. Humbled by success, thankful for his gifts, simple in his priorities, clear in his focus.

This is someone, as Mick would say,

“You're gonna eat lightning, and you're gonna crap thunder! You're gonna become a very dangerous person!"

Ha! They have it

; )

LOL!..... That's what they're dealing with...........

Since my early days of posting here at WRX, I've made some assertions that have turned out to be pretty accurate.

1. That Phil's real personality would shine through one day

2. Rickie Fowler lacked the internal drive to win majors and would have fewer than a dozen total wins by 2021

3. Gary Woodland's win was a fluke and he would fall after the US OPEN

At this time, I wish to offer forth my next prediction:

Scottie will not win again in 2022.

Win a major OR any event? If it's any , I'll make a small wager

thats not how this works.

You said 1 of the next 3.  You cant move the goalposts to someone else's prediction when someone says bet. Its not being crafty its taking you up on what you said,

You're conveniently leaving out one important thing......

I merely expressed my constitutionally protected opinion....

I never once asked for a bet...

Now show me where I was shopping for a wager......I'll wait.

C’mon he got distracted thinking of next year's champions dinner menu -- Hmmm, do I do prime rib or baked chicken, mashed potatoes, white butterflake rolls, green beans and vanilla ice cream or is that pushing the envelope too much.

He is a Texan, by default they must do BBQ whenever they are asked to host dinner. I think it's stamped on their state ID card

After that 4-putt, someone needs to do a drastic intervention. His game is shot and he is a broken man. New psychiatrist, sports psychologist,  swing coach, short game coach, putting coach, new caddy, lifestyle changes, diet changes, etc, etc.

You forgot to blame his wife. Getting married so young is always an issue

I don't know, man. You did put your signature on the initial comment - I think that makes it legally binding or something.

We are full 2 pages into this thread. And nobody brought up his footwork yet. Do you guys even watch TV?

On the other hand, this thread is full of gold.

Wow! ......I knew it wouldn't be long before the foot work was mention.

Let me point out though, he already has a few  players career total with that fault footwork.....

I think that it will be sustainable for the rest of his career. (maybe) LOL!

From my mid handicap arm-chair quarterback position, the only thing that I saw that was even slightly off with Scottie was that when he faced a tee shot where he viewed as requiring a draw, he appeared to exert an extreme amount of effort to draw the ball. Anyway - great performance and well deserved win.

At ANGC you get fifty extra yards with  those two draw tee shots so, he had  to attempt them.

They did look pretty awkward tho....

Hate to say this but Scottie really really comes across as a boring dude.  Very nice and polite, don't get me wrong. I don't dislike him.

But I saw 4 or 5 interviews with him at the Masters, and my conclusion is that he is just not an interesting person to listen to.

He's a young dude who looks and acts like he's 50.  Like if there was a party, he'd be the chaperone.

Scottie reminds me of a couple guys I play golf with, doesn't look pretty but when you walk off 18 your lunch money is gone.

The 4 putt was a blip, nothing more. Standing on the final green he lost focus and started thinking about the green jacket instead of the putt.

Think he'll win again (sorry Ferg) this season.

Don't worry.....after a year or two of the media asking silly questions, his attitude will change....
