I’m not sure why old guys always have to bring up some outlier from a hundred years ago like it’s the rule instead of the exception.

There’s a boatload of guys with the self confidence you like toiling on the mini tours.

Dude is 25 and #1…..but he’s done because he’s not confident enough.

Highly underrated skill. I always marvel when I see our pros filling in scores after a tournament.

The crazy part is that a lot of them do it while walking, nay, do it while walking over uneven surfaces

Lol, really outed yourself as a nephew with this one imo. You don't think admitting your fears, dealing with them, then still going out and still getting the job done on Sunday in a major isn't what champions do? Call me soft or whatever but that sounds like champion s*** to me

There's definitely something more important that I should be doing.

Nervousness comes from lack of preparation or self doubt. If your outcome focused instead of process focused this is very common.

Let's see now.

You accused old guys of "using an outlier from a hundred years ago like it’s the rule instead of the exception".

So you get shown a qualified(?) authoritative opinion to the effect that the "old guy" was right and you were mistaken.

And you know better then,,,,,,,,,,, OK, got it. 👍

Oh, and btw, If you were (more ?) outcome focused you wouldn't have spelled "you're", "your". You weren't nervous, were you ? 🙃

Who to believe?  Some guy on the keyboard or Tiger?

Yes, I’m nervous,” said Woods, who is still working with swing coach Chris Como. “I’m nervous for every tournament I play in, whether it’s after a layoff, or six in a row, or a major. I care. If I care, I’m nervous. And it’s good to be that way. To have that nervous energy and channel it, into aggression, into focus, into concentration, that’s good stuff.

“If I wasn’t nervous, that would mean I didn’t care. I don’t want to be out there flat. I want to be out here so bad. And now I am.”

Excellent job copying and pasting what someone else said.  Do you have an original thought of your own on the matter?

Aren’t you a pleasant one to deal with….are you a clinical shrink and come up with your post on your own or just write what someone told you once?

Nervousness is welcome.  Those butterflies in the pit of your stomach….the tingling in your hands….the acute awareness of your surroundings…..tells you you care about this round of golf.

And yes….as poorly written as it was that was all me.😎

As for the other, typical avoidance.

Confronted with "documentation" of your erroneous assertion and you get snarky over something else. Tsk, tsk. :classic_cool:

Oh, and that's actually pretty common.

Got nothing original ? :classic_laugh:

We are for real comparing Scottie to Mike Tyson now? Arguably one of the GOATs?

We've seen what goat golf performance looks like.  Scottie is playing great, he is on a ridiculous tear and I am happy for him... but how many new risings of the future king have we had? Rory? no, Spieth? no Brooks? no.

Tiger had 46 wins by 30

That’s dope! He’s great as Paulie of course.

But his best role is Bedbug Eddie (mobster who chops up people he doesn’t like ; ) in The Pope of Greenwich Village.

I’m not calling for Scheffler to win, but won’t be surprised if he does. If he chips like he did at the Masters from the run out areas around the green at Southern Hills, knowing the course like he does, he could very well win.

Scheffler will win and Minstrels will be singing songs about his escapades..

During one of the vignettes at the PGA, Rory basically self admitted he got married so that when he loses he doesn't feel as badly when he plays horrible (to his standards). He has only won twice since, who knows if he will ever lift a major trophy again.

Scottie did the right thing and got married before his ascension to World #1.

Rory got married in April of 2017.  He has won 7 times since then.
