Nothing feels like a Mizuno….MP32

Current offering I doubt it. But I would venture the MP-33 felt better. My MP-4 are good, but not as good as the 33.

Your clubs look great, who did you get to refinish them? I have a worn set of MP-33 I could get done.

Those clubs look fantastic!  I played MP33s for a bit and I bet they are as close to the 32s as they come.  That’s the one set of irons I kick myself for getting rid of.

Oughton’s golf did the work. Welded the stamping and did a satin finish. The finish has a bit of a yellow tinge to it. I would have probably preferred the “white” satin look, but otherwise the work looks good.

I have an old box of MP-32 heads in my garage. This refinish is awesome. @BCULAW did you have SW issues when putting together your club since your refinish removed the Mizuno name stamp?

Man that’s going to be tough.  Not sure if you have ever tried these but Fourteen fh1000 come to mind.  A pretty forgiving blade that feels amazing.  Don’t remember if it’s as soft as the 32’s, but has that satin look that is not too intimidating to look down upon.  Fourteen might have a little more bounce so the turf interaction will be a little different.  I remember those 32’s just cut through the dirt!  The fh1000 were just so smooth!

Did your heads weigh less when they came back, I would imagine they'd have to looking that clean. It's once concern I would have, or is it negligible?

MP32s are timeless classics.  Permanent fixtures in my bag since 2005.  Own 2 sets, both B weighted heads, +1". 1* up.  DGS300 in one set, DGR300 in the other.  Alternate between shafts depending on how strong I feel that day.

MP32s produce a solid, shallow "thump" thru the turf for me.  No monster divots even off soft fairways. No digging off any lie.  When flushed, I can only describe the feeling as an "awww yeah".   Hard to put into words.  Those who have ever played MP32s know what I'm talking about.  One of the reasons I still play them, even at age 67.

MP32s are both solid and soft.  Have never hit MP20s or the MP221s to compare "softness feel" vs the MP32s, but I have hit the MP223 Gap wedge and even with 1025E carbon and a copper underlay, the 223 forging, though soft, feels and sounds just a tad "crispy" vs the MP32.

They are fantastic. Loved those irons. I think I loved the mp5s more but it is close.

Those are a beautiful set of irons. The MP32 is one of my all time favorite's, however, i think “feel” in the iron produces is overrated. One, you are really just reacting to the sound. Two, you can make any iron “feel” buttery soft with changing to softer balls. But apples to apples, id say the softest feeling mainstream modern iron are srixons, but its very very miniscule.

Wow, the refinish job looks great. Long time Mizuno iron user, started with the Tzoid Pro's and currently on MP64's. Always loved the simple appearance of the MP-32's. Excellent feel as you stated, only issue I had with them was the 'appearance' of the pitching wedge...the shaping was a bit strange (rounded). Otherwise, terrific set of irons.

Not as soft as the mp32s but I got hooked really bad on the mp5s. The 4 iron off the tee is just sex.

Like the 32s, it has that ‘channel back’ going on. I’d love a revisit of this tech with the layers of feel they got going on. 221s are the best feeling blades I can think of. Probably will grab a set one of these days

Not true. Use the same ball with different forgings and they all feel different.

Why would they weigh less when there was a new finish put back on and a stamping was filled when welded? Should weigh more than before but nothing significant. Any decent club builder can easily get all the weights correct after refinish
