What changes will you be making to your bag in 2022?

Last year I bought new irons, Apex DCB and a new Big Bertha 21 driver, so I am contemplating changing out my X2Hot hybrids.

I hit them really well , but wonder if there is significant improvement over the past 8 years.

Bought an Apex and am demoing a Ping G425 tomorrow in my first game of the year

Currently testing a couple of sets of blades to see if anything can replace my current set

Maybe get rid of the 1 iron for a low lofted hybrid - extensive testing needed and will be coming up

Might treat myself to a Piretti Matera putter

Driver = Callaway Smoke-Ai Max-D

3 wood = Callaway Smoke-Ai Max HL

3 Hybrid = Tour Edge Exotics C722
Irons = 4-PW Miura KM 700
Gap Wedge = Miura HB 50*

Sand Wedge = Taylormade MG2 56*

Putter = LAB DF3

Ball = TP5x pix

Went from sim to stealth+ driver.

Finally found a long term gamer 3w - rogue st ls 16.5. Put a ventus tr 7x in it this weekend and that appears to be staying after just 1 round. Performed and felt exactly like I hoped.

Put $taper 8i shafts in 3 of my wedges. Waiting on shaft availability to put it in my 60....which

My tinkering seems to have paid off with my 60. Thr last 2 years I've played a 60-10 during late spring to late fall and a 60-08 through winter. I struggle with the 60-08 from anything more than about 50 yards. I wanted to find a wedge I can use year round...58-08 bent to 60-10 has been phenomenal.

Working through changes as we speak.

Driver is staying in the bag again this season.  The Tsi3 has been fantastic and is still the best looking head on the market to my eyes.

Changing 3 wood.  Going from Ts3 to G425 with smoke yellow.  I love the profile from the Ping and need the shallow face with tight fairways here in Dallas.  Will add some hot melt to it.

Moving back to a utility 3i.  Sold the 7 wood.

Replacing irons.  Going to x forged cb but still figuring out shafts.  Either going back to modus 120x or DG 120.

Zipcores are staying for a second season as well.  Absolutely love them.  Especially tue full face 60.  Just fantastic out of this tight turf.

Putter is staying.  Toulon satin SD.

For the start to this season I changed the shafts in my 52° & 58° wedges and swapped my 4I for a 7W.

I replaced the TT Dynamic Gold, Tour Issue, S400 shafts with Nippon NS Pro 950GH shafts in the wedges and picked up 8 more yards.

A Cobra King Speedzone 7W has replaced my 4I. So far, it appears that I am hitting the 7 wood consistently about 10 yards further than I use to hit the 4I.

Two big changes for me are replacing my Callaway Apex 19 irons with the PXG 0211DC irons, and committing to the Toulon Portland putter with Stroke Lab shaft.

I got the PXGs at the end of November, and they did not perform at all like they did in my outdoor fitting. Put them aside and went back to my Apex irons, which hadn't lost a beat. As recently as about two weeks ago I felt the 0211DC irons would no longer even serve the purpose of a backup set and was ready to sell them. Then I decided to give them one last try and boy are they performing, exceeding the performance I saw at my fitting, which is why I got them in the first place! I guess  trying to evaluate a new set of irons in winter temperatures, bundled up in as many as 5 layers, is not the way to do it.

Before Shot Scope updated their Dashboard, I was able to compare putters I've used over the last 1 1/2 years, and the Toulon outperformed everything else. I have good and bad days with it, but my putts per GIR, and percentages made at almost every distance were better than anything else. I think knowing that will give me more confidence in my putting.

Gonna take out my two hybrids this season and replace them with a driving iron and 3 wood. I'll stick with that through the summer to give the change a fair shake. Will likely mix and match through the fall to find the best combos for the courses I play.

Oh, and for kicks I decided to add a 5 hybrid to the bag (again) because I'm a freakin' glutton for punishment.  If the last 6 experiments didn't succeed, try, try...oh to hell with it...

So to change my original answer in this, I've changed the following already because I'm realizing I'm no longer 30 and will have days where the body isn't cooperating:

Soft-stepped my 5 and 6 iron shafts to give me a little more launch and spin.  Saw immediate benefits one round in on that.  Might do the same with my 7 iron...

Changed from my Diamana LTD 70s.  It's great on good days, but I had issues recently on a day where I was just physically tired.  I wanted something in the 60g range and ran across a Gunmetal Lin Q 6f4.  I didn't realize that it's the same raw weight  as the Diamana, but it's easier to load, spins about the same, and launches higher, which is what I was looking for.

looking to possibly move on from my GW.... A 51* mizuno jpx919 Forged... Like it but thinking of something with a little more forgiveness. I do like it but feel I should move to a CBX 2 wedge or something. I use the GW as mostly full swing 110y to 85y where my SW will take over...

Any thoughts on a forgiving full swing (mostly) GW...

Just about everything in my bag changed including the bad itself.

Had- Taylormade Sim Driver, Sim 5 wood, Adams hybrid, p770 gen1 irons, TM MG wedges, Taylormade Tour Bag

Change to- PXG 0211 Driver, PXG 0211 5 wood, PXG 0211 22* hybrid, PXG 0211DC/ST combo set, PXG 0311 forged wedge, Sunmountain Maverick cart bag

I sold the clubs I had for almost exactly what the PXG cost new.  Free upgrades.

-Ditched hybrid and put a 7 wood in the bag

-took out a wedge and left the DI in

Next:

-New putter - just cuz

-try switching from a 78 gram driver shaft to something more in the 65x range.

-Probably go back to my stock set 4iron
