That soft mid in the blue tends to assist with a quick tempo, hard loader shot getting offline a bit. The black...not nearly as much. 

 

Give the black a go and call TM if it doesn't suit you...they'll fix the mistake...but you may likey the mistake...

Yep, you were totally right! Love the Black in this 3 wood. It doesn't feel overly stiff, but I am totally aware of where the head is at all times. The Blues usually give me great numbers and performance but they just don't have a ton of feel for me as far as knowing where the head is. Nice mistake turned into a nice find.

 

Love the head too so far after one bucket outdoors. Going straight in the bag.

First impression - Love it!

 

Gloss looks so much better than the semi-gloss/matte look. Ordered it with the Kaili 60X, interesting the tip has a "Velocore like" MR70 weave. 9* face looks square to me off the STD setting. Overall, the driver did not look flat to me either but my SPS swing setup practically has a flat like bias, not an issue at all

Tonight I'm gonna blow on the JumboMax STR8 Ultralite grip to replace the stock grip.

 

Then tomorrow, will test out the best settings. Gonna put it into play on Saturday game. Last Saturday, I hit the snot off the Rogue Max/XC combo so S2+ got it tough to followup that Day. But it can be done... 😁

Sweet. I would always get good performance from the blue but once I got a black, I could tell I liked the more linear profile...no mid section give. I felt like the trick blue had even more give in the mid than the non yr because of that stiffer handle.

 

But don't be surprised when you end up in a black in your driver...with black in the 3w you'll start to feel that blue kick...

What drove your decision to go from the Max to the Plus this time round??

The gloss is growing on me but I think I’ll need to go MyStealth to get that red ring framing. Looks so good on the regular Stealth2

Honestly, curiosity.

 

I deliberately didn't go Stealth 1, kinda seeing it like a fist Gen line of car that you kinda avoid cause you know it's got this or that bug so you wait till the second Gen comes out. Hence I waited for the Stealth2. I really like the idea of a carbon face, it is INNOVATIVE like Callaway'sJailbreak AND throw in a higher MOI 15gm rear and 15gm slider, that to me - is adjustability and forgiveness.

 

I know 3rd parties accessory sellers will come out with additional weight so I can tweak till the cows come home 😁

 

If Callaway has the Paradym Version 2 out instead of the standard one, I would have been all over that instead of the S2+. I kept my Epic Sub Zero with the slider and front weight cause I know its a low spin bomber, just wasn't crazy about the loudness. Paradym V2 would have been perfect for me and I would have kept all Callaway but alas, the V2 is a Tour only head and I am not about to splash $$$$ for any Tour head.

 

Mind you, I think Max has earned a permanent, do-not-sell position in my backup bag. It still sounds soooo good and as I said, I saw some silly numbers last Satruday when I gamed it and I mean silly for a 105-108 SS. In a very good way, I mean as well.

I much prefer the gloss. That S1 semi-gloss or matte just did not look that good to me and I love matte finish crowns on my driver. I think if you're gonna go $100 premium on myStealth, you should come out with a murdered, all black look...that would be stunning

Has anyone pitted the S2+ against G430Max? Curious if anyone has some feedback. I won an S2+ with ventus Tr blue velo(my shaft of choice), wondering how ease of use is

Interesting bc it was to be 2* flatter

 So, the s2+ 3w is very interesting.  Put it in play after only hitting it on my mat and about 4 pre-round range balls. Based on indoor sessions and on my mevo+, I had the setup locked in. Well, not so much. On-course is always different than on a launch monitor. I had it at 14.5 (tour adapter) and slider weight neutral. 

 

First shot with it was par 4 tee. Hit it terribly...so bad that it ended up ok. Had it hit it worth anything then it would have been a lost ball.

 

Next hole, 267 to pin, 245-250 to front edge, 2nd shot on par 5. Water down the right. Wind off the left, in and across...2 club wind. Hit it terribly again. Tried to hit it up the left side. Idk what happened but the ball starter a touch left and then almost went straight sideways. It was a touch heely but the ball went from the left edge of the fairway across about 35 yards of fairway and into the water. Par 5 bogey, directly due to the 3w.

 

9th hole, par 4, 390ish. Bunkers down left. Water all.down the right. Same wind blowing the same direction. I'm afraid to hit the 3w so I tried to cutesy a driver and make bogey. If I'm confident with the 3w (like I was the previous week with the aerojet) then I hit a low bullet and have an easy 2nd shot in. I shoot +1 and have 2 bogies directly tied to the 3w.

 

10th hole, hitnit really well off the tee. 11th hole hit it not so great but still managed birdie on the par 5. That was the last I hit it. Gave serious consideration to selling it. Just felt like I had to steer it.

 

Grabbed the aerojet from the trunk after the round and went to the range...hit the s2+ and it showed what the course performance showed...really inconsistent. So I moved the slider weight all the way back and it was a completely different club. Launched high. Really straight. Didn't feel like I had to be cautious at all. Hit the aerojet too. S2+ peaks higher, probably 15 yards higher. Aerojet still pretty flat. More testing, on the range soon. May end up trading the aerojet for a tsr2...

The plus fairway with the weight all the way forward feels sooo solid. 
 

Got to hit my plus driver today and thing is a high launching beast. The face is a lot smaller than my tsr3 which I thought was interesting. I hit the stealth a lot higher than tsr3 at the same loft setting which is good for me. TSR3 is a bit more consistent. Love them both. Will be keeping both, actually.

Red ring is barely noticeable on the Stealth 2 at address.

Agree with this completely, I love the Stealth sound so much better. I ordered a couple of shafts off ebay so I could get in some testing with the same shaft this week between this and the TSR3 and Paradym TD. 

 

Working with the Plus 3W and 5W today, played the 3W with the weight forward and the 5W with the weight back. I will say if you hit a lot of fairway shots with these, that weight is going to be a pain to keep cleaning out, definitely a muck magnet.

Yeah, for me the Stealth 2 plus fairway is higher and straighter and longer which is what I want because I pretty much hit 3 wood only off the tee. The TSR3 is IMO slightly better looking. Sound and feel is a wash, they are both fantastic. I think the TSR3 is more of a "better player" club where someone that really wants to dial in a shot shape or tendency can get a lot out of it. The Stealth 2 plus is more of a point and shoot. I feel like the Stealth does a bit of the work for me whereas the TSR3 is more up to me to get the most out of it (which I think is actually what it is designed to be).
