Ping G430 Woods/Hybrids

All that chart is saying is what the adaptor relationship is.

Does it work? Yes. Is it going to make the face appear differently at rest? Also yes. Does the head itself stay the exact same loft in reality? Also yes.

 

This chart does not describe face open-close relationship to the same axis of the shaft. So if you have a "reminder" grip, and change the adaptor position, will it be more open or closed? We know this changes, but this chart as presented does not describe that data.

 

Sure would be interesting data though. 🙂

yep they're lime green. Look similar to the cobra radspeeds from a few years back. Doesn't sound like a howitzer either. swung it last week. Although i must say the sound kind of grew on me

What does that mean re the sound? Is it still "loud" compared to most other drivers but not as loud as the G425 models? Or is it just a totally different sound than the G425 and other drivers out there?

I think we are getting close to seeing the new drivers. The Sanderson farms photos looks like they might be in the bag.

What is this believe based on, generic headcovers? Because they are not on the USGA conforming list yet..

because all the ping bags are either covering the head covers or they have the same angle.   And aren’t showing any part of the woods head covers except the back.

Pretty sure conforming list only updates on Monday and didn't have any updates this week so they can't go into play this week.

Same. Still in a G410 LST driver, but ended up in TSI fairways because even the LST 3 wood spun too much

This reminds me of my NZ buddies proudly telling me that NZ is first for many things:

 

* first country to give women voting rights (25 years before the US & UK)

* first bungy jump 😄

 

Don't forget A/NZ also got the G425 drivers and fairways before the rest of the world.  Might have to take a trip to the Antipodes soon...

Generic head covers that you can buy from Ping’s website. Not G430 head covers.

This happens in every single release thread.  It’s not a prototype, it’s not an almost finished product, the pics haven’t been photoshopped. That will 100% be the driver you see at retail.

Pretty FUGLYYYY….  Other than cosmetically, will it be any better than any other Ping since the G/G30 series?? Glad I saved some coins and went with the 425 LST!

I've long moved past caring what the bottom of drivers look like (or the ugly headcovers since I never use them).

 

What matters is the at address pictures and the "sound" (that has been my biggest disappointment with Ping for a while now).

Sound and weight. Wanted to love the G425, G410 but hated it - sound was bad, imo and the head weight was ridiculous without counter balance shaft.

 

Hoping the G430 will fix both areas. Last really good Ping head for me was the G LS

Account and story are still there.

 

Possible Niemann’s was the LST. Same design as the leaked pic of the G430 Max, but Niemann’s had a matte finish on the sole and less graphics, whereas the leaked pic was gloss on the sole.
