I remember as a kid making a tee time at the local muni course.

Some crusty guy in the pro shop or on the phone, "after 2 pm, kid."

Tiger and Charlie might need to call ahead so they can clear the course.

Didn’t think that was an issue at Albany.

Can we let the kid be a kid for a while?

WOW…I have never seen that video…

the swing at the end of the video is glorious….that move belongs in the louvre…

I can’t imagine seeing that swing and putting stroke coming from a 14 year old kid…

The smooth fluidity reminded me a little of Payne Stewart's swing.

No way Tiger would allow that. He's been pretty private about Charlie's golf and I doubt he wants Charlie getting that kind of exposure

You may be right about not allowing a cover, but if you call trotting him out to father & son and stuff "being pretty private", well, ok....not my definition of private.

Yeah but he never let Charlie do any media at the PNC. Henrik's son who's the same age did a lot of media last yr

Here is the actual article that goes along with the above picture from the OP.

I think that is the first interview I have seen of him. Sounded like a normal grounded kid. Hope he plays well going forward but hope he doesn't put pressure on himself trying to follow in dad's foot steps.

Please just let Charlie be Charlie. If he continues with golf, there will be way way too much pressure put on this kid.

I'm sure being TW's kid that there already too much pressure but I'm sure it has it's perks. Charlie most likely has any coach he'd want at his finger tips. Time will tell if he is the next GOAT but I am just enjoying watching TW and Charlie play golf together.

I think Charlie's been working with Mike Thomas (JT's dad).

Kind of creepy guys are watching Tiger's son just because Tiger was great.  Not knowing anything about junior golf they get drippy because of a 68. Not understanding that kids in his class are shooting 68's and better from 6700 yards.  There are literally 5th, 6th, and 7th graders that are better than him.

Well, for context, the PNC/Father Son has been around for over 25 years, must be dozens of father/son teams played over the years.

For CW, playing golf with a bunch of pros is like the average kid playing with his dads friends from work.

Otherwise, TW doesn’t promote CWs golf at all in the media. Other People at the event take pics. Post them. People then say, “oh, TWs kid played golf”.

Not a big deal at all.

What's your point ? Jack's sons had professional aspirations at one point and were also watched by the media in the day. If social media was around back then, it would've been the same as with Charlie now. Who cares if the media takes a few pics of him and mentions a 68 ?

Point?  Leave the kid alone.  Social Media and Golf media in general need to leave this kid alone including Golf Wrx's Matt Vincenzi who is a complete hack as a golf writer. There are literally 100's of kids in 5th thru 8th grade that are better than him right now.  Leave him alone and let him do his own thing.

HH nobody is that interested in CW. He’s just TWs kid to the general world.

I know what you mean but I don’t see people seriously thinking he’s like Tiger level or hyping his golf.

The kid is left alone x/c for this one story and the Father/Son tournament. If he continues to get beat by others in his age group, he will be left alone.

Yet, here we are with a CW post from a tournament he was beat in just because he shot a 68 from 5700 yards.  One 68 is really not that big of a deal in the junior tournament golfing world.

A Charlie Woods thread now, huh...

I think we do have a Tiger Woods addiction problem in this forum.

He's just a kid, I hope he get's the chance to enjoy that before bearing the weight of the golfing world on his shoulders.

Not that he can't. He has the perfect Dad to help him navigate...

I laugh because shooting a 68 really is no big deal in the Junior Tournament golf world.  This is a screen shot of the 20th ranked player from JGS in the C/O 2027.  Even the 100th ranked player has thrown up a 66.image.png.59364bcfb48e3ab876fdc3e7318a30d4.png

Love seeing Charlie in a Greyson polo. Maybe the friendship with JT had something to do with that? Overall I think that brand has a lot of great designs that are attracting the interest of younger and older golfers. Also, curious of what Charlie had in the bag for the week. Has anyone seen a WITB for him? Wonder if Tiger still has him in blades 😁

So..... it's not about leave the kid alone.. it's don't speak about his low score because other "KIDS" can go lower...

If the posts irk you that much, simply ignore it and don't post.. instead of throwing shade at the kid, simply because...

You have kids or nephews/nieces, competing with him? 😅

The OP bragged about placing a bet on the kid winning the Open Championship befre the age of 30, and you think HH wants to throw "shade"?  He's making the point that if this was Charlie Heffelmayer no one would bat an eye because none of it would be noteworthy, for the reasons he listed.

He is most definitely throwing "shade", but it's not at the kid.
