If they would have made the LST crown look like that fairway wood crown...the driver would be much more popular.  At least on this site.

The range or setup for the fade/draw weight change is pretty small now compared to the G410.  Will that work at that short of change?

Is it just me, or is that fairway aggressively shallow? Either way I’m digging the fwy, but gonna walk back my earlier driver comment a little bit as that is quite busy

They have always been pretty shallow.  But I agree.  This one seems even more so.  Easy to launch off the deck I am sure.  It's not something that appeals to me, but I bet they're easy to hit none the less.  I just do not feel compelled towards any of these though.  It doesn't give me the warm fuzzies I had when I saw the 425 line.  I do not like the look of either driver shown here.  Carbon isn't new.  They could have just painted it the same finish as the rest of the head and kept the lipstick off.  I don't like how it's like two different finishes on the head.

The last few generations of PING fairways wood have been very shallow. It looks like the G430 has a bit more height in the middle of the face compared to the G425, but that could just be that the top of the face has some curvature. I hope the LST wood has a bit of a deeper face.

Not really digging the driver. Although the carbon crown is appealing just loose the fins. That fairway wood is probably going in the bag though. If the carbon crown on the woods are all the way through. I see a new 7wood in my horizon.

Well, they did what people asked, which was to put carbon on the crown of the LST. Should be an awesome driver.

I love Ping but can't play their fairways because of how shallow they are.

 

I mean... I suppose if I were to buy one and spend a few weeks/months with it I'd figure it out but every time I go into a fitting I can't get along with them so they never make it past the first cut. The look throws me off.

Driver top is a bit too busy IMO. Love the fairway from address.

I play the 425 lst and it sounds just fine. My buddies plays the 425 MAX and that is a different story altogether.

Seen a video on IG of Sam Bennett hitting the G430 LST driver and it sounds really good to my ears. Definitely an improvement from the G425's, even though I do like the sound/feel of my G425 LST driver.

I had the 425 LST myself with hot melt. It was fixed somewhat. Somewhat. But the weight killed me and I had alternate rear weights to adjust.  That's my experience.

 

Yeah, I play with a guy that loves his 425 Max, OMG...I move away from the tee box as far as I can. No kidding.

 

I am kinda surprised by the choice of trim colors, would have think they could go back to another shade of Blue, like the G and G30

The LST was definitely better than the Max.  But in my time with the LST, I had never had so many people mention how weird my driver sounded.  I didn't think it was all that bad or different.  But, apparently it was.  The Max is just awful sounding.  I try to be as neutral as I can with subjective stuff.  But it sounds terrible and I cannot believe they didn't do something, anything about it.

"Turbulators! Mount up!" I do think that the lst with the carbon fiber top is too busy, but I actually like the non carbon fiber top one. I played a round with a gentleman who had the lst and it sounded fine on the course.

I am too. This color scheme reminds me of the Cobra Rad speed. Personally I think blue would've been much better.

I like that lst crown. Never played an lst model before but it looks cool.

I will be getting the 430 LST Driver but will obviously want to hear it first but I do like the way it looks. I'll pass on the fairways and stick with the 410's I have. I know unpopular but I like the turbulators. For me, they frame the ball just perfectly and I love how shallow Pings Fairway Woods are. Super easy turf interaction. I could do without the lime green color though but we'll see. It may grow on me.

Lined up the photos with the bottom white line to give a better understanding of the lie, LST is noticably flatter and maybe a bit taller face.

 

 

Tried to do the same with face angle, to show how they will sit.
