I bet they perform but not a fan of the looks at all. Color scheme looks kinda cheap but what's worse looking to me is the dimple/depressions in the middle of the crown. Would look so much better if they did the crown like the fairway woods.

I really wanted to upgrade to the G430 to stay within the Ping family, but this makes it difficult.

I didn't like the Nike Volt when it was released.

 

I don't like the PING Volt in 2022.

 

Long live the G400 LST and G400 MAX.

Hybrids look very similar ... just a worse paint job this time around. Like they took the G425's shape and matte finish and slapped the Radspeed's obnoxious detailing on it.

I like the look of all of these.  I cringe to think what a carbon-topped, ti-faced Ping fairway is going to cost this day.  The last Ti fairway they had was ~2013 and it was $499 back then when drivers were absolutely topped out at that price.  I hope they don't bring out a $600 fwy wood and think it will actually sell...

Ryan Barath made a good point in his article in Golf.com about the color choice. It's most like a nod to the Rapture colorway, which makes sense since they are returning to carbon fiber.

Is the colorway more yellow or more of a volt/lime ?  Early on I thought bolt/lime but in these pics it looks more like a plain Jane yellow.

Maybe they’ll start a myPING custom where you can delete the crown graphics and get rid of the yellow. I’d also delete the face graphics, kind of remind me of a bad early 2000’s arm-band tattoo. The whole package does not give me a first impression of “premium” but they will be charging premium prices. Will still give the whole line a chance, though.

I’m a little surprised they chose not to go carbon in the max. Seems like they would have made this the “new thing” about the 430 line. At this point there’s really no difference in this max and the previous 425 besides paint.
