Titleist 2023 irons

Wyndham Clark was DESTROYING that T200 3 iron (old version, I think) this weekend. Might have to preorder one of the new T200 driving iron builds in a 4 iron.

I fear love child.

I hope not either.  To me the ideal would be the same footprint and specs of the T300 but better sound.    On pure hits it was so good sounding.  But the slightest mishit you got that loud “clack”

Copacetic, thanks for the pics!  The 150 looks beefier, no doubt. I’m glad they made the 150 a bit longer toe to heel. Wish they’d have kept the thin top line from the 100.

Those are the first pics I've really noticed the thicker top line on the 150. Might be a deal breaker if they look that thick in person.

Definitely looks beefier than expected, wonder what 200 looks like.

Do you think that the T200 might be moved a bit toward the existing T300, and the T350 be a combination of the T300 and T400?

The blade length of the T200's looks to be the same.  The new T200 is a bit slimmer,  probably, closer to T150 than T300.

Yeah makes you wonder if 200 in the long end of the bag is even necessary. Was considering 200 in the 4, 150 in the 5-PW.

I am glad the t150 is beefy. I don’t like the t100 size. I appreciate those who do. This now put this right in my category. Now I have two options before this and the t200

yes but at the same time the top line and trail edge aren’t rolled off like the t100s

I’ve been asking Titleist to make the t200 a truly forged iron. Seems like that’s kind of what they did with the 150. I’m in. Currently game x7s.

Surprised by the extra mass on the T150 like everyone else, but until I see them in person its hard to tell.  I will say this might put a premium on the T100S being so slim now, much like the AP2 were still popular when they slimmed down the T100 too much for some.  At least they are making changes, I was thinking initially it was just cosmetic.  Trouble for me is, while it took some time to get used to the slimmer size of T100S I now love it.

Personally I really like the differentiation. The 100s was pretty pointless in my opinion except for the cranked lofts and a tiny bit more help in long irons. Anyone playing them could just play the 100 and adjust to hitting half a club more. Personally I went 100 as there was little enough difference and the lofts are much easier to blend ‘off the shelf’ 

 

it looks like 150 will be significantly more forgiving, which will open up more reason to blend 150 with 100s for example, which there was little point of before. 
 

based on pics alone and some of the early feedback I could see my next set being 

t350 4 iron with graphite shaft. 
t150 5-7 iron 

t100 8-gap wedge. 
 

And adjust the 7 and 8 iron lofts to blend in the gapping. 
 

possibly could go the blend a club higher or lower also.

What they should do for easier blending is have T150 PW at 45 so then it is easy to blend all 3.

I do not like bending stronger/weaker more than 1 degree then irons start looking weird from iron to iron.  

I would like T100 7-PW then 5,6 T150 then 4 T200 but most likely will end up 6-PW at T100, because of the 28 degree 6 iron is too much to bend 2 degrees, unless of course T150 has more offset to begin with, but then adding bounce and I already play in concrete conditions.

@halfsumo Yes, he was, and it's same as mine.

 

Late last year custom ordered T200 17' 2 iron (39.75"Tensei AV White Am2 -S, 92g) and T200 22' 4 iron (38.50" with Tensei AV White Am2 -S, 94g); both clubs are amazing.  That 4 iron is same length as my 620 MB 4 iron in my MB set, except 1' weaker, yet longer than my 21' MB 3i.

 

Anyone, know when Titleist will introduce new irons to retail/ordering?

So is the size of the T100 not changed vs previous year, but T150 got bigger? Or did they shrink the T100? 

 

Currently sampling T100s - they don't seem too small.

The only thing I think I know at this point is that I will be going with T150 or T200. I want something a little more confidence inspiring (larger) than my current T100s. I need to see side-by-side pics of the T150 and T200.
