Agree. I’ll be using one mainly for just tee shots so not too worried about holding greens but not going to be the highest launching/spinning driving iron out. It’s REALLY good looking!

It would be nice if they made it a “special order” type of club like they did with the OG TCBs and other special clubs.  Probably wishful thinking unfortunately..

Callaway seems to have a pattern of a low-spin fairway wood with a slightly deeper face and then a higher-MOI fairway wood with a super shallow face. I’ve kinda given up hope that Callaway will offer anything in their fairway woods at retail that isn’t super shallow. Sticking with my Stealth Plus fairway woods.

Yep, that is what all the insiders are reporting.  I’m guessing very minimum tweaks vs the current Paradym model.

Agree with this take.  I've yet to find a 3/5 wood that can dethrone TM Ti woods.

Paradym TD 3 wood is far from shallow although I do agree the rest of the fairways are shallow. I find TD to be a nice happy medium for tee shots and fairway lies

What I find ironic is that back in the day when Orlimar TriMetals were getting some buzz, there was a radio ad where Ely talked about how they didn't think shallow faces was the way to go.   When I first saw the Paradym FWs or the shallow face topic comes up I can't help but think about that ad.

 

Going back to the original Steelheads, every FW I've owned has been Callaway, but if I were buying today I'd be looking elsewhere.

To my eye, Paradym FWs make Pings look deep faced.

OG SIM ti is still in the bag.  I've tested Ping, Cally, TM and Titleist fairways for this year and while they're nice, there wasn't a substantial performance improvement to kick it outta the bag.

I agree. I just need a little more spin with them. I bought Paradym and it isn’t fast. I am hoping the mizuno gives the pop of a Taylormade and a a little more spin

Same except is OG stealth plus for me. Currently testing g430 lst, if that doesn't win then it's stealth plus for a while most likely

I think it goes back to the M5 Ti when they really started dialing it in.  OG Sim Ti is a total beast and Sim 2 up to current Stealth 2+ have all been excellent.  I wanted to like a Callaway, just did not perform

If I wasn't using the Apex UW's religiously for my long game, I would be looking at either a TM "Ti" 3W or the Ping G430LST. But Callaway is the only manufacturer that makes anything even remotely like the Apex UW, so in the bag it stays.

 

It's funny how I usually never got along with Fairway Woods OR Hybrids, and you combine the two and it somehow works out.

Other fairways from Callaway aren't really my speed.

Agreed. They pushed the envelope significantly compared to anything else that year or before. Everything since then has been incremental and harder to measure and prove.

What's the consensus on adjustable hosels? I only buy Cally fw's that are adjustable to be able swap out shafts, tinker, fine tune, etc. Yay or nay for future models to be adjustable?

Btw, pretty happy with Epic Flash fw's

Yeah, it sounds like the new name is “Smoke” so hopefully it will be a dark gray or black color finish.

If I get something with an adjustable hosel, it better be a Callaway, so I keep the same shaft orientation when I adjust it. I'm actually more partial to bonded hosels, though, because the sleeves pull weight away from where it needs to be in the head, plus it's a cleaner look.

I dunno about that.  The Paradym line more specifically, the TD is pretty remarkable IMO.
